Very odd towards the top. What in your math and all that stuff puts Bama at the #1 spot still?
Not seeing these at all. Are they in order from best on down?

Their loss to Tex A&M knocked them down in my model about 4.5 points, however, they were so far above and beyond anyone else, that all it did was bring them closer to the pack. Also notice that my rankings had Texas A&M much higher than the polls did, so that a loss to them isn't quite as bad as some are making it out to be.

That's the short version. If you want more detail let me know.

That makes sense I suppose.
Utah State #12? And Kansas State #16? Please explain.
Your methodology has loved Texas Tech all season. Just not seeing they are a Top 5 team, especially if you watched them struggle against Kansas yesterday.
i agree on the Kansas St remark. They are undefeated and have beat 5 ranked teams
Not being a homer, but NIU at 32 seems off.
Kent St at 72 and 7th best among MAC teams? Huh? I'm sure that's what the numbers are spitting out for you, but doesn't that give you pause about the numbers being put in?

Maybe it's overweighting the big loss to Kentucky early on.
I think the big thing hurting Kansas St. and Kent St. is the fact that they are tied for number 1 in turnover margin. My model doesn't take turnovers into account (as they are mostly luck based...unless you're Peanut Tillman).

How are turnovers luck-based?

As I said, they are mostly luck based. And I'm talking about turnover margin. There is some skill in creating turnovers, but more often than not it's the result of a tipped pass here or an arm getting in the way there. For example, Jordan Lynch threw a pass right to a guy last week and he dropped it. It should have been an interception. But it wasn't.

I guess I wouldn't take turnovers into account, as they're part of what leads to scoring, which is more important. Turnovers in most cases aren't luck though - usually they're the result of poor play by one team or a nice play by another. Which is a reflection of how good the team is.
This obviously doesn't include the bama game results...when do Saturdays games get included and updated?

But if you are going to post them every week with results that are in honor of our old friend "nuttier than squirrel poop"..you should darn well expect comments and feedback. I honestly thought the bama game didnt get counted so relax geeesh. Blow it up man..start from scratch...all good systems evolve through time
