OK. After the discussions in the last two weeks about attendance, I observed the W&M game carefully.
Our stadium was packed until the the extra point for 41.
I took a cell pic of the student section at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Not an empty seat. Contrast that with every student section in the CAA, INCLUDING JMU.
I will admit we have a somewhat fair weather fanbase. Hell, my wife and kids leave, or don't even go in the first place, when it is bad.
However to all you "debbie downers"; we have a large and enthusiastic fanbase, including the best student section in the CAA.
Watched the game on first row sports, or at least the first half and then the second half of the 4th quarter and noticed the same thing. Stadium looked packed until the end of the game. I was glad to see the student section was packed because it didn't look like it at the beginning of the game. In fact half of the student section in the endzone looked half empty at the beginning of the game but I'm sure that was due to students tailgating and/or just waking up on a early saturday morning. Weather also looked it was perfect and couldn't have asked for anything better.
My season tix are under the American flag in the endzone. I took my seat at like 11:45 or so. The student section was absolutely half full to start the game but by 12:10 or so it was packed. Just a bit late getting there for a noon game after drinking. No harm no foul I guess. Crowd was amped the entire game and stayed till the last play.
I have been in section 120 all four years and the 4 seats next to mine have never seen anybody in them. Its been kind of nice to be able to spread out.
The student carried Big Blue all the way up the student section. I thought that was pretty impressive.
The student section was filled with older people who bought tickets since the student allotment did not sell out. It slowly filled up during the game.

Maybe so, but I saw alot of students when I walked over there; and the point is that nobody left at the half, including whatever percentage of students were there.
My tix are right beside student section. It was pretty full.
As a side note, people stop whining that some fans don't stand up. Worry about the game and your idea of fandom.
