I would really like to see ODU continue the brick and iron fence all the way around campus that is present on Hampton Blvd, I think that really adds a nice defined boundary to campus and just has a nice look to it.
Agree

And Mexico is going to pay for it!
I really like the brick wall motif around our buildings on Hampton. It adds character to the space and even the McDonald's across the street added a similar brick wall to help it fit in.

What's always been weird to me is that the Inn has a cheap, ugly black metal fence in front of it that doesn't match any other building. I would like to see the brick wall there as well since it's an ODU building.

They need to tear down the Inn and build a large dorm complex.
The rally alley construction has started;

NICE, that should be a anchor to get people to the village. An ODU merchandise shop would be nice too

I know but most schools have multiple merchandise stores. I would love to see a private shop not associated with the school open up.

You mean like the one by the 7-11 and the chinese restaurant behind Del Vechios?

Sounds like you want an Alumni Hall. Not sure how they decide where to build but the one in Knoxville is nice. I would add that it really is not all that different from the Village bookstore;

If theres a market for it one will open. I think our bookstore does a pretty good job with the merch usually. I like that nearly the whole first floor is ODU branded stuff and the actual textbooks etc are upstairs. It gives a nice first impression. I would rather see more ODU stuff in Target, Walmart, Kohls, Dicks, Cracker Barrel etc than another gear shop right on campus.

Some mighty nice accolades for CNU in the Princeton Review. It's still unbelievable that not only have they caught up to ODU academically and in infrastructure, but in some ways have even surpassed us. And the fact that it has basically happened in only 20 years is incredible. What does Paul Trible have that Dr. Koch, Runte and Broderick couldn't or can't seem to grasp? Not that they haven't made progress, but if we're advancing at 20 mph, Trible is moving at 100mph.

As you could've guessed, it's all politics. Being a lifelong politician (congressman and senator) has its perks and greases some wheels. I've wondered what ODU would look like if Trible became our president all those years ago.

I live in Newport News and to see that campus transformed from essentially 6 buildings to what it is now, it's pretty remarkable.
