If they've been pushing back the reveal over and over just to tell us they're putting a facelift on the exising Foreman Field, I'm going to be very upset. Hopefully they're doing this the right way, just as they've done with nearly everything else regarding the program so far.

You're not going to hear anything until after the eminent domain lawsuit regarding the huge parcel of land partly occupied by Central Radio is settled. That will not be until September at the earliest.

Last Nov. we were told we would hear something in January then it was sometime in spring then it was Aug and now its ????????

Well, I'm going to move on. Apparently there is nothing to see here, and I don't want to get my hopes raised.

Frustrating yes. But at least we know whatever the plan looks like it will be moving ODU forward. JMU fans doesn't have that certainty on their side.

I'm so glad we are building new. I do wish it was going to be bigger from the jump. 30,000 seems small looking four years down the road. It would be nice if they took out Midrise at the same time.

Hope they build a seawall over there too. I can remember a nor'easter flooded the area good

They said at the Coaches Caravan in Richmond that the first expansion would be 30,000 and then a measured approach after that. They were good on their word. This water view site is very exciting, something alot of colleges can't offer.

Yep, 45K or more. My only concern going forward with this is vehicular access, and traffic congestion concerns. I am sure that the study addressed those concerns and it will work wonderfully. The major thought I walked away with from what was said at the coaches caravan is that it is going to be a first rate facility that will make us all proud. I have no problem starting with a 30K showpiece stadium, as long as there is room to expand to 45K plus.

We've got waterfront property, with pretty decent facilities nearby. Take advantage of it.

Maybe this isn't going to end up too far off. I'm stoked that they are building new, and that it will be a waterfront stadium.

How would traffic be any different than the current location? Be prepared to walk or sit in it... your choice. I doubt the 30k is a hard number. It could go up without much cost if the demand is there. Bulk of the cost is in the structure and the land. Bleechers are cheap.
