Has anyone looked at the budget to see if we are getting money for these new projects? Also any chance we are getting money for a new student union next year?
Looks like we got money back in 2015 for the new webb center

Only 1 of the 3 requests are for 2019 in the 2018-2020 biennium; the volleyball facility reno (the football stadium is a part of the 2016-18 biennium).

The union and health sciences building are both future capital requests (2020) and will be voted on next spring.

The Koch Hall mechanical project is for 2019 but likely falls under the capital maintenance reserve budget.
Gotcha, I wonder when they are going to start the renovation for the volleyball facility. Hopefully it turns out pretty well
Anyone have any recent campus pictures?

Anything specific you want a picture of? It's finals week. I'll be on campus a few more times before graduation.

Cmett, since you didn't ask for anything specific. I took a few pictures today on my walk to my last final. Some of them are uninspiring, but might trigger a few memories.

I took some more but they got corrupted during sending. I'll have to go back to school sometime later. Maybe I'll be able to snag few before the graduation ceremony.

04-cheers Thanks for the pics and great job as usual. It pretty cool to see the campus albeit through pictures once in a while.
Just tell me what you want a picture of.
Now that I'm graduating I'll be on campus far less often so in the future it might just be special trips for construction stuff.
The picture looking across Hampton Blvd, I chuckled because all the bushes in the median have actually grown rather than looked trampled on by all the people leaving BAL for Happy Hour at Crazy Charlies or 4400
I didn't see this posted anywhere but many thanks to the Perrys for the gift to the Honors College. Also confirms that ODU is receiving love from the founders of Dollar Tree Corp.

The Perry's and extended family have given ODU a lot of money. I don't think any of their family has attend ODU.

I read right over that. Thanks.
Does anyone know who owns the Old Dominion Credit Union building on Hampton Blvd. Im guessing ODU but im not sure. I wonder if that could be a site for a research building down the road since we are so strapped for land.

ODU Credit Union Inc. bought the building in 1993.

And they are not affiliated with ODU?

It's a credit union.

She also served on ODU's Board of Visitors.
