After sitting through the football I hiked down to the convo and watched the first half of the exhibition game against Aurora...WOW

(1) Most talent (as a team) that I have seen on the floor at NIU in the last 8 years
(2) the young guards are very very talented....
(3) Nader, Nixon and Christian did not even suit up last night Not sure why

This team has a lot of talent but it is all young...are they talented YES
Will that translate into wins? only time will tell but I expect they will really get better as they play regular seasons...

the style of play was really fast tempo and fun to watch....

can't wait for the next home game..
Glad somebody is excited.

I'm just hoping to see flashes from the new kids, and growth from the returnees, and at least a few more wins, since our schedule didn't get much harder since last year.
After years of mediocrity any spark of something good sets me off...Maybe even more than 10 wins this season...or is that hopeless
I liked how fast they played yesterday, a total change of pace from last year. And there does appear to be some talent on this team. How much? I mean who knows. I think they should be better than last year, if nothing else. Beyond that, I'm a skeptic until they prove something. I've seen too many bad teams. But, I did see enough yesterday that I want to go again.
It's an overall more talented team than last year.
faster, stronger, more disciplined defensively and better able to score...of course much of that is counterbalanced by so much youth, again, getting so many minutes....that said, I would be shocked if the dawgs don't get double digit wins and get to Cleveland....12 wins and a win in Cleveland would be a jumping off point for much success next season.....if Nixon heals and Askel, Springs and JJ can hit from outside, .500 may be possible (or at least we can dream)...
For the ESPN tip off marathon, NIU will be playing the 48th ranked Crusaders per the pre season AP poll!

But the polls are biased, so they're actually a top 10 team. They just don't get the respect because they're in a small conference /MD
