God help us.

We should score no less than 35 on USM. If we give up more than 31 points to USM, well you would have to assume there is no hope for our defense. I'll enjoy the ride down to Hattiesburg, but im not sure if im looking forward to the ride back to Birmingham.
Well we can't let this get into a shootout like Tulane, if we do it's over. I think offensively we're ok as it looks like their D gives up running as well as passing yds. Their offense has been ok at running but the qb play has been the problem for them. Our best bet to win is being able to keep their qb play the inconsistancy it's been & not let them get a Heisman candidate.
Wasn't Tulane the worst offense in th league? We were able to get their QB an ESPN helmet sticker.

This. 03-weeping

Alford's mom will probably end up being CUSA player of the week
Heisman candidate.
He will have such a great game, that his mom will get on sportscenter for something other than getting thrown out of the game.
Well we do have the Ellis Johnson suckage factor working in our favor.
Speaking of which, the EP'ers are more focused on how to get rid of him than they are the game.

Their stuff makes BT look quite tame.
he'll get a reprieve this week.
Quote:Offensive line's been pretty good, but when you can't throw the football with anything approaching consistency, it's hard for five to block eight. DE Jamie Collins is an absolute beast and the DL shows up, but USM lost its entire LB rotation from 2011, and it shows.

They're in luck, then, since we only rush three.
The bigger issue is they lost their whole coaching staff.
No kidding even with as bad as a hire as they made I didn't think it'd be this bad.
UAB should win by 15-20 points.

That "should" part means we'll probably lose by 10. But I hope not. Good luck the rest of the season after today.

Man, it kills me to see you guys crash out like you have this year.

I've always had a soft spot for you since Reggie Collier sent Alabama's chosen deity out a loser and Brett Favre beat both the $EC whores in the same year.
Question today is whether or not "The Callaway Effect" carries over to Ellis. This is Johnson's best and perhaps only chance for a DI victory, but I'd put more faith in voodoo curses than EJ actually coaching the Eagles to victory.

Sacrifice a chicken and say a chant before kickoff tonight.

Thanks Smaug. I think we will be OK but it will require a coaching change after this year (which is possible based on what Ive read on USM boards)

The longer EJ stays, the farther the gap widens between USM and the other CUSA programs
Anthony Alford granted release, as expected...
