It would be nice for A Beast game to get A 4.1
Maybe if the Ville & Rutgers win out until they play, we can get 2.5 rating
Is a 1.4 good?

It better than most of the Friday Night Game & it still outperformed the NBA Exhibition Games
I would think it was that high because the game was close and had great action. Viewers probably stopped by and watched a few minutes and realized it was a good game and stayed on the channel to finish it.

Beat the Fox broadcast of KSU and TTech which was the OTA channel and mid day.

It also beat out a Thursday Night ESPN Pac 12 game between Southern Cal vs. Utah which had a 0.8 TV Rating.
i think fox may move some of these games to their new cable network once it's up & running, all of their games have posted relatively weak numbers this season. 1.4 is not bad against the other games broadcast this year but i thought the rating would have been a little higher considering this game featured two marque big east teams
I'm not sure what a 1.4 rating equates to in terms of total viewers, but here are total viewers for previous Friday games:

UConn v Syr 1.004M
Pitt v Syr .694M
Hawaii v BYU .584M
Baylor v La Monroe .955M
Wash St v UNLV .649M

Just FYI---those may be the local Houston ratings. He doesnt say if they are local or national. He typically gives both or identifies what they are.

I'm pretty sure those are the national ratings. The World Series and ND-OU numbers match what I've seen elsewhere.

Okay, 1 rating point is equal to 1.142M. That would mean the UL-UC game drew right at 1.6M for comparison.

They are the national ratings, not local Houston TV ratings. David mentioned that it might be hard to get local Houston ratings because of the storm.
