Ball State over Indiana

Ohio over Penn State

8 in one season for the MAC. And the MAC will have atleast 6 and perhaps 7 bowl teams to rack up more.

4-4 against Big East I believe...taking down 2 of their top 3...A great year for the MAC so far.
Overall, best year ever for MAC. We've had years of having one stronger top 25 program (Marshall in late 90's and early 2000's, Miami and Big Ben in 2003, and in other years with UT, NIU and BG in the last decade), but nothing like the 4 strong teams we have at the top this year.
Has East-West parity in football finally arrived? Both divisions have a couple standout teams with good wins over BCS AQs this year.
Can't say if they are exactly equal but it has certainly become much closer and certainly does not deserve the attitude some are giving towards the east. I would say the top 4 for now look comparable. Some might be better than the others but they are certainly in the same "league" until they actually start playing each other. Ball State and BGSU certainly mirror each other quite well with one being more on offense and the other defense. Miami and WMU are probably comparable as well. However CMU is better than Buffalo. Now comparing EMU and Akron is difficult as one has beaten an FBS oppenent but the other did not lose to an FCS. That is a tough call though currently I lean towards EMU as Army is a better win than the FCS team that Akron beat. UMASS I am not counting for this since the west is out of teams.

So in summation Toledo/NIU is probably slightly better than Kent State/Ohio (though that isn ot yet known for sure).

I like Ball State slightly over BGSU at this time.

I think Miami is slightly better than WMU.

CMU over Buffalo

Maybe EMU over Akron.

For me that puts the west as better than the East but not by much and not enough to really beat your chest about it.
