i couldn't have been more wrong about a team.

i watched their game against louieville last year and was very impressed with the defense they had assembled. i saw that defense first hand and we could barely move the ball against them. it took a last second fg to beat them like 10-9.

they essentially had that whole dee coming back.

i still think they'll get someone. too much athletic talent not to. i fear that game in the back of my mind.

they have racked up a ton of 3* talent the last few years. they should be better. I've had my doubts about mario as a 'tactician' but he's done a hella job turning that program around.

i have a gut feeling they can turn it around. not bowl worthy but can definitely take the shine off other folks seasons. i hope it's not us.

they are a perfect example how 'the experts' can be so wrong in the preseason.

the reason i'm flying to ulala to watch a game. you can't count on the future. i want to see my topper football team as many times as possible THIS YEAR because we know not what the future holds for us.
Funny. Freeze fest ongoing @ the Den.
FIU had something like 20 of their 2-deep 22 Defensive players coming back this season.

They haven't been blown out, except in Lafayette and at Duke. I'm not sure but I think they might have been playing their true frosh QB in that game.

With the starting QB and starting tailback now back in the lineup, I think they'll get a couple of more wins, at least--- unless the team quits on their coach (like what happened to us last year).

Scores cannot be compared. We all have learned that over the years.

MT had BAMA beat one year and came home and lost to freakin' SEMO.

FIU too good not to win a couple of more, regardless of how they played in Lafayette. And, yes, they got spanked.

That said, how in the world do they have such a huge, beautiful campus with a med school, law school, vet school, etc........... and don't even have a freakin' Press Box. Our radio guys had to sit outside under a tent, and the tent was coming up a foot off the ground during the broadcast. One leg of the tent was tied to a post with duck tape. The tent was located in the far corner up above the stands in the end zone. They had a real tough time seeing the action at the other end of the field.

We are doing great, except no annual trip to Acadiana. Got to get my Blue Dog fix in.

May be able to make it down for the baseball tourney this year. It's in Lafayette, right ?
