...was chatting with a couple of other patrons and he leans on the pool table listening....was talking how the players are not the problem and how Buckley was in over his head (didn't know he was there)....he walks up and says he is sick of people talking about something they know nothing about and asks if I wanted to coach...basically told me that if I continued there would be a problem....if anyone thinks I am lying go ask Mike and Gail...

This is our supposed savior....lost all respect for him after that (had none before as a player anyway)

This is our QB people....how times have changed
Did you say anything back to him when he confronted you?
Should've fought him, *****.
Your bashing his coach, a guy he works his butt off for every day. That coach probably spends more time with his QB than he does his own family. There are relationships built on that field that mean alot more than wins and losses. I think you're over reacting about his reaction.
I tend to align with what Jester said, but still, quarterback needs composure off the field too. Almost sounded like he threatened you, but we have no idea if you responded to him from your original post.
Your players, especially your QB, should not be running their mouths at fans in bars.

Players should not be at a bar, not to mention at a bar during the season

I agree with what you were saying but am glad he responded to you this way. That means the team hasn't quit on the coaches yet. While the coaches are clueless, things can't get better if the kids don't respect the coaches.
The Endzone happens to be one of the best lunch spots in all of Hattiesburg. I'm sure our 18 year old true freshman quarterback was not drinking at noon on a Monday.

...he referenced him as his 'father'...you also don't know that we have two players that tailgate with us that are polar opposites from his point of view....as the other poster said, if you are the leader then you need to learn how to take the good with the bad and demonstrate that on and off the field....you need to read the writing instead of following nepotism beliefs....he reminded me of our prima dona receiver a few years ago with that one

bottom line...team dissension is happening folks...believe it or not...trust me when I tell you anyone at the EZ can back up my story

...to be fair, he was not drinking...and it was at lunch

I did tell him that I pay 2k annually on tickets and donations and that I hope what I said did piss him off...then when I left went and shook his hand to let him know again it isn't the players that we are down on and myself and 35k others want nothing more than to see us return to respectability....
I think his larger point was that the atmosphere in hattiesburg has achieved heretofore unknown levels of "poisoned". two weeks ago, we had a confrontation between a coach (or coaches) and fans. this week, it's a fan and a player -- to whom he wasn't even speaking.

there is no way this is anything other than bad.
Well if you don't respect him then why did you shake his hand?
I read it as 12:20AM and as if it was a bar.

....it's the gentleman thing to do maybe??? ...remember, I didn't confront him and was a fan eating lunch jerking jaw...get it????

...is a bar and a hot lunch spot...sorry for not being perfectly literal...jeez, never said he was drunk either
Man all this talk about the Endzone makes me want to go get a Philly cheese steak and some buffalo fries.
