Apparently the company plan is to bore hackers to death. Employees are replaceable.
Physical tokens ftw.
Wolfman, it sounds like your company needs to invest in biometric security technologies...

my previous employer rolled this out a few months ago. it was great, until you left your fob somewhere while traveling and needed to get on.
That's why I'd go with biometrics. No matter where you are, there you are...
Only thing I don't like at our store is if your computer goes into screen saver it has to be logged back into and the only way it keeps up what you were doing is if it is you, the original user before it went to screen saver. I guess it is because different levels of employees have different levels of desktop icons for what they need.

Not a fan of biometrics ... too easily fooled.
The company that makes the fobs for my company was hacked last year.
Despite being a "technology" company we only got iPhones about a year ago. That was after a year of suffering with crapberry phones.

I have the screen saver issue too. I run apps that take 10 to 60+ minutes to compile. I either have to sit at the PC and move the mouse every occasionally or risk the compile crapping out. Best solution I have found is solitaire. Quite a productivity enhancer.

Well, its not that bad if I can get back on the same computer if I have to get up for a while because it will be where I left it. It just sucks on the time it takes to log someone off then yourself back on when the screen saver gets going.
