The researchers are really going out on a limb with their theories. I really like this quote from the article. "Agency spokeswoman Carli Segelson says the eyeball likely came from a marine animal, since it was found on a beach."

right. and possibly a giant squid. or some kind of large fish.

That was my first thought, but I'm pretty sure he's buried in Hollywood. The odds are too incredible.
