I've been trying twitter and so on. Thought we had an influx but none of em ended up posting. Scout is on its deathbed. What am I doing wrong?

Well you have to realize that Panther Lair and Scout are gonna have a built in base because they have actual Pitt beat writers running the board providing inside information. The Panther 247 bunch I believe are a bunch of like middle aged to old men that had a specific beef with some posters on Scout and put a lot of time and effort to create their angry little safe haven. So, I'm not sure it is apples to apples? I think this is a pretty good board... I do contribute on Scout cause it gets a lot of traffic but if the new format stays I won’t nearly as much. I cancelled my subscription regardless. I have had a hard time justifying to my wife why I need to spend $100 a year to belong to a Pitt message board. I read over on Lair but don't quite feel the connection there is obviously some douches there. I like this site and don't mind the low traffic. It seems more like a small community. Also, I NEVER go to other team's boards on Scout. If I wanna talk general ACC stuff then I LOVE this CSN board. It is really cool how you can talk with other general ACC fans, get pissed at douches like the CAT but still be able to come back to our home board and complain without having to deal with his retort. Conversely, I would never go to a Clemson board and bust his stones. Everyone should have their safe haven. So, I am pretty good how it is. Some more traffic would be nice but it will come...

Well said. I enjoy this specific board more because threads aren't being derailed by 3 or 4 different people. I also enjoy the Conference Board concept. Part of the reason why I spent a better part of 7 years posting here rather than Digest or the Lair. I was kinda hoping that Scouts downfall this past week would've brought a portion of those Digest guys here. Maybe a bigger community isn't always a good thing.
Hopefully over the years of me in college will allow me to do an internship here and provide the site w/ original content. I kinda tried that last spring, but w/out having a Press Pass its very hard to tow the line of facts/opinions. I'd rather those type of posts to be more fact oriented w/ direct quotes.
