It's been there and elsewhere in the park for a couple of years.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee billboard has been at Miller Park for years.
Drives me nuts when I see them.

But...NIU has a banner ad on the outfield wall of the Kane County Cougars...so ya...go us!
Toledo has a big one on the scoreboard facing ford field too.

Toledo has been a Tigers sponsor for a few years on the radio. They even get live reads - a donation is made for double plays or something like that.

Toledo has been a Tigers sponsor for a few years on the radio. They even get live reads - a donation is made for double plays or something like that.
There are also ads for UT all around Joe Louis Arena as well. Plus the Red Wings donate 500 bucks to the UT scholarship fund for every power play goal. If there is hockey this year. LOL

I wouldn't call Detroit "dead".
It isn't what it used to be. However, the downtown area around Ford Field and Comerica Park is doing well.
Of course, when compared to Chicago...I suppose just about every city appears to be dead with the exception of a half dozen or so.
