TSU - 6-0 after knocking off EKU Saturday.
UT-Martin - 4-2 after being the Eastern Illinois Romos.

The flip side is the Tennessee Tech is having a horrible year as well as Austin Peay.

On a given Saturday, half the teams in America lose....
Tenn Tech has a bunch of injuries. Over 50 players were on the injury report this week. Really got beat up physically when they played Oregon and simply have not recovered.

Tennessee State is playing very well. Always one of the more talented teams in the OVC - have finally figured out a way to cut out all the silly penalties and other mistakes that have typically tripped them up.
TSU is now 7-0.
Martin is 5-2.

The Martin and TSU have both already played Eastern Kentucky, meaning the OVC has a shot at putting three teams in the playoffs.
Since ETSU ditched the OVC...I haven't looked back. The schools are just to far away...although not as far as the ASun. It is rather remarkable that what is considered a basketball conference would have three teams in there. That's the Southern's claim to fame.
The three teams are playing solid football right now, Tennessee Tech would be but about half the team is hurt.
Austin Peay is awful. I don't know that they could beat Ensworth right now, they'd probably struggle in the South Atlantic Conference.
TSU has a shot at running the table in the regular season, they don't play a guarantee game because of the whole HBCU thing.
