This sounds really, really, country. But I can totally see little kids sliding down that hill on cardboard boxes.
But that sort of reminds me of ours
What is with obsession of all things Georgia Southern around here?
The rumor is that we just raised $10 million for the endzone facility after receiving the final $2million for the Gulfstream jet family.

Now if we can just get our big money alum Dan Cathy at Chic-fil-a more involved. He has $4 billion in the bank. That would help a little......maybe Chic-fila can sponsor the Sun Belt championship game for an invite.
Theres no obsession. Just GA Southern has gotten serious about FBS membership. Theres a real shot at them being a future member perhaps.

And that Middle Picture looks a lot like Troys.

Nothing says you've made it to the Sun Belt then a rainy Thursday night game with more TV time on ESPN of the kids riding down the hill on cardboard then actual football.

it is ours, or atleast a model based identically on the Vet.
No kidding. I think it is time to can it. The Liberty discussion after they approved intentions in the summer derailed into a theological standoff and was promptly removed. The Ga Southern and App threads are tiring.

I suggest if you are tired of reading these threads, than do just that...stop reading them. They haven't broken any rules.

Seriously, what's with Sun Belt games and rain? I almost expect any Troy football or baseball game to have rain now. Watch the Western Kentucky game be a rainy Thursday game.

My view gives me the option to not click on every thread.

You may want to check your user control panel options if you are being forced to view all threads.

----That is how we toughen up our young Ragin' Cajuns in our end zones before and after the crowd leaves!!!

I remember when kids would do that at App. Can't any more, as the hill is full of fans. I miss it, but having fans there makes the stadium look more, for lack of a better term, FBS.

The first two and the bottom picture are the current renderings. The one in the middle with the seats around the end zone is a little older. Once that Football Ops building in the bottom picture is built, we will have buildings on each end. Wouldn't be able to close in the seats unless we tore one of them down or built in front (which I don't see happening anytime soon.)

Than I guess we are really, really country...kids have been doing it for 3 decades now. It's actually been one of the most controversial topic on our message boards. People are afraid that expansion will take that away from kids and ruin game day experiences for families. From the renderings it looks like there will be plenty of room for kids to enjoy themselves.

And that middle rendering that shows a bowled in seating setup, that is no longer accurate. Use the top and bottom pictures for reference.

So, basically, the only image anyone above got excited about (the one that looks like Troy) isn't going to happen.

Yeah......great thread.

Never said it was going to happen. And yes Pantherville one of the drawing does look like Troy's stadium. Also this thread I believe was posted to share information. It started by a Troy poster, the only Georgia Southern posters that have posted on this thread have been to share additional information.

Do poster's need to get excited for a thread to be agreat thread. The ansewer is NO.
Rough renderings, a little more refined than in the Feasibility Study published a few years ago. Of course the Football Operations Bldg is a new addition, but is 20,000sq' larger than called for in the study and in the end zone instead of at Eagle Creek. Oh, and yes I'm Stoked about it !
