I know that this poll is just for grins, but here it is:

Only one MAC team (UMASS) on the list this week. C-USA has 3 in the bottom 10.
Appears the EMU Eagles soared beneath the radar this week.
Buffalo can't continue to evade this list forever...

Maybe Ohio will help us stay off..

Akron's still sitting on the waiting list. Two close calls (FIU, Miami) and a decent showing against Tennessee are keeping us off, but without another win soon we'll be right back on it.
Bowling Green's schedule is an embarassment.

"Eight teams remain winless this season. Eastern Michigan and Memphis earn a reprieve this week after being off in Week 5."

No game = not on the list. Lose to Kent State and the Eagles will be right back on there.

How so? I think they've have a pretty decent OOC schedule this year. I'd say it was pretty balanced with 2 strong opponents and 2 cupcakes. The majority of MAC teams had that sort of schedule this year with 2 strong and 2 cupcakes. This is how I saw the OOC schedules this year:

3 Strong Opponents / 1 Cupcake
Buffalo, UMASS, Miami, WMU

2 Strong Opponents / 2 Cupcake
Akron, Ball State, BG, CMU, EMU, Toledo

1 Strong Opponent / 3 Cupcakes
Kent State, NIU, Ohio

* Indiana, Kentucky, and Kansas I consider cupcakes unless we are talking basketball

* Army is an obvious cupcake but I threw Navy in there also because they were like Minnesota and Iowa and wasn't quite sure where I'd place that dividing line. I think that line probably lies somewhere between Navy and Iowa.

** I'd say Florida and Virginia Tech could be considered as strong as the strongest OOC this conference has seen this year.
Idk, maybe he was talking about BG's remaining schedule? They should end up 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3 with an upset over Ohio.

It's pretty bad when a cupcake beats the crap out of you in your home opener. 03-banghead
