IF and when the BE separates, what will ND do? They jog along with us in these bowl tie ins and starting in 09 they will schedule 3 BE teams a year. Granted they usually play pitt already. They have another 7 game series sched with rutgers. They're kind of the wildcard in all this but 2010 seems light years away right now. If anything they have nudged a bit closer in their 'affiliation' with the BE.
Maybe but I think we part ways with ND in 2010.
No way do we get them.

Hope I'm wrong!
In a dream world we would get ND and PSU, but that is probably a "pipe dream"! :D
Notre Shame finally joins the Big 10, 11, um 12. Oh O, there already is a big 12.
Maybe the little 12, the Bigger 12 or how about the 11 + 1! 03-razz 03-razz 03-razz

Yes ND is running to join the b10 so it can lose its tv contract and independent football status.(WHAT A CROCK)
Frankly, I do not give a damn what ND does! 03-puke

Agreed! ND (legends in their own minds).
Notre Dame won’t ever the join the BE for football; if they ever join a conference it will be the Big 10.

Their non-football sports will suffer when the Big East “split
I like the way you think Cardhouse; maybe someday you will help my Memphis brethern out.

Well, I can’t do anything personally, but I’ve always felt Louisville, Cincinnati, and Memphis belong in the same conference.

Our inner-city schools have a lot in common against the “others
UofL usually has the upper hand but yes it is usually a WAR when the UoM and UoL get together.

The UofL-Memphis series is very even.

Let me reiterate my previous post: Us fans want better matchups in December!!

December is one of the best times of the year!

The holidays are around the corner; we’ve just beaten 5 teams named Nobody State; we need more in this great month of December besides Kentucky!

I’d rather lose to Memphis in one thrilling game in December then beat Who Cares Universtiy.

Mark my words right now; come late December our fans will be strongly complaining about our OOC schedule.
At least you have a quality Conference Schedule (may be too much quality) - Besides UAB and Houston and maybe UTEP and Tulsa (some years) we have - Not much!

Yes, on Jan.5th we open the Big East with Villanova. Before that we open the regular season with Tennessee-Martin on Nov. 19. We play at Kentucky on Dec. 17th.

In between that we got 7 weeks of cupcakes at Freedom Hall. Us fans want better than that during the holiday season; no excuses.
It is a given - we have to schedule better than the UofL in December - it is a must. Used to be the UofL always had a tough December schedule, but you have a different home now. Your conference schedule is more than unbelievable. Your coach and administration feel they need to do what most of the SEC schools have always done - Schedule cupcakes in December.

Getting rid of ND is really good for the BE.Not having the Gator Bowl is a great plus.It would be great not to have ND if the BCS busts. It would be great not to have to have a series of 3 games with ND in football. All to have a bunch 4th class teams from cusa east.
Yep. That's about right. Get rid of Notre Dame and let our great history take off from there. We'd be known as a coference with legs rather than Notre Shame's play toy.

Being dumb is a real good strategy.Get rid of ND and the bb only schools and bring in cusa east 4th rate schools.
