AD Compher tweeted that a fence was being put up this AM for the CPC construction.
Ohhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaah
Figured the "official" groundbreaking would be done on Homecoming... 04-cheers
Save a $1000 and put up a tarp. :)
Groundbreaking is set for October 12th, the day before Homecoming.
Congrats to all to making this reality finally happen.

Just trying to keep the unicorns out. They're such a menace around here. 03-drunk

Good to see it all starting.
Saw the pix on facebook.

And just a reminder to those who may be ON THE FENCE about a small donation to add to our Dog Pound brick...read all about how to donate with us as a group under important threads. Or contact Bleeds as he is handling the $$. Many small donations add up to $1,000 in no time and it gets us on the wall of fame!

Thank you all! 04-cheers

03-woohoo
Thanks 7!

I remember when the Yordon was being built, they put up a 24 hour camera where you could see the progress whenever you wanted. Wonder if they'll do the same here at some point.
Glad to see things are rolling! Much better chance of getting it under roof before winter sets in.

20 years ago yes, but ask any current student and they will tell you Stevenson Towers is one of the nicest dorms on campus. They were gutted and remodeled into suites years ago. I believe they are remodeling Grant now.

Grant C was just reopened fall of 2011 after being 100% gutted. It is very similar to the Stevenson towers but with some better features. Grant D is being 100% gutted now. It will be open in the Fall of 2013.

Does anyone on campus know if Grant South is open? The housing plan does not show pricing for this year but I have not seen anything about them being closed down to be renovated. I wonder with the enrollment down are they just closed?

Enrollment dropped a bit, but we actually had a little bigger freshman class than last year. Doubt they boarded up a dorm this year (if they did I would choose lincoln :) ).

This is the last school year for Lincoln. It is closing in the Fall of 2013 for demolition.
