BUFFALO 7 UConn 3 1st Q
Kent State 14
Balls Tate 7

Flashes scored on a Durham plunge, the Cards answered right back with a TD pass, and then ensuing kickoff saw Dri Archer go 99 yards and the lead. What a dynamic player Archer has been so far this year, his burst and top speed is among the tops in football; he compliments Durham well with the Thunder & Lightning combination.
Cards get a FG and it's now 14-10 KSU.
Dri Archer with a TD catch for the Flashes and score now 21-10 Kent State.

I thought the East was nothing but pushovers.....says the MAC West fan.

Cards FG as the halftime buzzer sounded, KSU leads 21-13 in a very good matchup.

17-7 UConn with about 2 minutes left in the 1/2.
Zordich picking up right where he left off last week: 5 of 15 for 74 yards, 0 TDs & 1 INT.

It'll be hard to top last weeks tremendous 4 of 22 for 92 yards 1 TD and 2 Picks. I have faith that he can.
O/T:

The Big Ten is stinking it up.

Three B1G teams lead three other B1G teams by a combined 65 - 0 at the half.

Also, Stony Brook 13, Army 0.

I still believe Stony Brook is fast tracking to FBS. Maybe MAC #14???
Flashes with a quick score to start the 2nd 1/2. Archer took a nice screen pass deep and then Keith followed it up with a lob to a wide-open Matt Hurdle for another TD and 28-13 KSU lead. The Cards are getting alot of yards in the air though, so countering with their own quick strike is possible. I was hoping the Flashes would slow things down and work the clock a bit, but you can't slow down 2 quick big plays.
And a quick strike by BSU makes it 28-19. I was curious why BSU wasn't going for 2 to make it a 7-point game and then they shanked the XP anyway.
TD pass for BSU, cuts KSU lead to 28-26. KSU has no answer for the BSU passing game; only way to slow it down is pressure from Rosie Nix but he hobbled off the field earlier on and hasn't returned yet.
Damn, Archer again with the score as KSU answers back with a TD pass to Archer, KSU now leads 35-26 in this chessmatch.
I can see the on campus stadium at Akron has really helped attendance. I am being sarcastic but it may actually have improved.
BSU continues to use their passing attack to drive right through KSU but then goes to the run and stalls in short yardage situations. FG by BSU, KSU now up 35-29 in a game that will certainly come down to the wire.
Pretty entertaining game so far.

Miami up on Akron early 13 - 0.
Kent State head coach struggling with math. Should have gone for 2 on that last TD. May come back to bite the Flashes.
Kent State grinds out a drive capped by a TD from Durham (Thunder) and a 42-29 lead. Archer (Lightning) got free on a draw play but tripped while going down the sideline or else he'd have had another long TD.
KSU just has no answer for the passing, it's like Balls Tate is just playing against pylons out there and Wenning is just picking his spots and finding open receivers everytime. Another BSU passing TD makes it 42-36.
Barnburner.
