I think that they could give the rest of the west a battle and could potentially win it, however you all probably think I'm crazy for saying this.
You're crazy.

Why??? Because they caught MSU looking ahead to Ohio State??? This is the same EMU team that was embarrassed Illinois St. Sorry I'm not buying it.

We'll see, I'll be at the EMU-Toledo game, so we can find out then.

I think EMU could beat anybody in the MAC 1/5 times and beat the lesser teams better than 1/2.

But you guys have no consistency so while you might spoil things for Toledo, or NIU, or WMU, or Ball State you will not be the ones who win the West.
I can see it happening eventually if you guys can get Roback to campus.

All I ask for is for EMU to win the 2 games I'm going too, Toledo and CMU. I do not consider myself a EMU fan either but I've grown to like the team over the past few years and I have friends and family who want to or have attended EMU.
Why wouldn't they want teams to sleep on them?
The teams that can knock us off our horse are the following. NIU-Huskie Stadium. Ball State-home. CMU-home. WMU-Waldo. (I think we'll beat em 38-13 without Carder...) I have watched enough football to know who we match up well against and who isn't tallented enough to beat us. If CMU didn't beat Iowa I would chalk that up as an automatic win, but they showed me a little something called a passing game.

yawn. just so you know, thats a typical response from from any of you guys that lose to or almost lose to a MAC team.

example last year, when we almost beat Ohio St, on the way out i had 3 ppl say to me "Wow you guys are great, there is no way you wont win the MAC this year!"

its typical when a powerhouse almost loses, that the opponent must be great

MSU is a weak team this year offensively, you guys are putting words into my mouth now, I said don't sleep on them, it's a long shot but they could do it with the right luck, the MAC is unpredictable. Meanwhile, I am still going to the game regardless if they are winless going into the game because I'd like to show my support for a local team that isn't Big Blue and it's gonna be a thing my friends and I are going to try and start doing, going to the games.

That's good to hear. They could use more fans. We could all use more fans.
EMU will be lucky to win a game in the MAC with what they've displayed so far.
I wouldn't be surprised if EMU loses every game AGAIN. KICK'em OUT!

Last I checked, Chicago U didn't field a football team.

As I said earlier in the thread, I think EMU could arguably have the best QB in the MAC if he pans out.

That's thousands of pounds. Very heavy. They'd probably suffocate.

Chicago U?

University of Chicago?

University of Chicago's flag football team could beat EMU.

Yeah, if that's what he means, he's most certainly wrong

I've watched (and sometimes re-watched) EMU play four times this season and I really don't know how good (or bad) they are.

Purdue game was a butt kicking after Purdue started to roll.

BSU game was a loss to a BSU team which might be better than we think. That is why we play the games and not let computers, writers or posters pick winners. BSU was certainly the better team.

IL State game was strange. ISU had NO penalties in that game (look at my avatar) despite many blown calls. NO penalties? How important can that be? CMU had NO penalties vs. Iowa in the 1st half while building up their half time lead.

EMU led at the half and I thought they'd control the game going forward. Didn't happen and the game slipped away.

MSU - I don't think MSU brought their 'A' game and it showed. A dropped possible TD pass could have turned the game into a thriller.

The big thing, I believe, with EMU is getting 100% healthy in the defensive secondary and how well EMU's offense develops around new QB, Tyler Benz.

IF Benz can engineer an offense which is balanced and effective on the ground and in the air EMU could be fun to watch and will win their share of games.

I look for a very solid effort vs. Kent Oct 6.

EMU has talent. This isn't EMU of 10 years ago.

There is enough parity in the MAC so that on any given Saturday...
