I can't even get on the damn site. I'm not a registered user. I gave up. But I still like to read it. Is this why the thing isn't loading up because I'm not a member?

The Haven has been slow, off and on, for the last couple weeks but very bad in the last couple days. I know it's a personal site and the owner sets the rules and all credit to him for his service to the Topper Nation but I still wish WKU had a more active board that was more open to others. Just sayin'. I visit the rivals site occassionally but it's not very active and the bbs site is the same.
I just checked it and got in fine. I just think you have to be a member to post anyone can look as far as I know, I am a member.
It's painfully slow....and not a lot of activity.

You guys really need to start up a new one.
Yeah, ive never liked Haven. Advertisements in awful places, site works slowly, and its just not active enough.

The Den may be filled with a bunch of jerks like myself, but we're also the most active team board in this league by far, makes smack talk more fun.

The football forum on the Haven has never been very active. The basketball forum on the other hand is very active.
Use Firefox browser on HH and everything runs much smoother
HH has been screwed up since inception.

I run Firefox....and it's still sllllllooooooooooowwwwwwww..
I went over there and the only thing screwed up were the ignorant, short-sighted posts (not altogether unlike the Den).

Dahbeed was having to talk them down.

Here is the deal, WKU peeps, about Malzahn and his offensive playbook. He is feeling his personnel out and installing more of his offense every week. Not sure where the 30% came from - but you can bet he'll keep building on this offense as he learns more about this team and what the young, talented skill players can do.

Oku has been here six or seven weeks - and just last game Gus turned him loose in the wildcat (which he recruited him at Auburn for). This is a process, building this team - and Gus has just started. Both offense and defense are being infused with young talent gradually. We started running some 3-4 Defense vs. Alcorn to get more talent on the field.

Rocky Hayes and David Oku, two of the "x-men", get more responsibility each week. Gus truly believes stAte must improve each week throughout the season for stAte to have a shot at winning this conference.

The main problem stAte has this week is that WKU has the advantage @ the line of scrimmage. This game is going to be a ***** for stAte to win.
Yep, I'm afraid we have no shot in the trenches. I expect serious pressure on Aplin from their DL and well,.....our DL can't really get pressure on anyone not named Alcorn St.
And Malzahn's offense isn't a spread offense. It is a Hurry Up No Huddle run based play action vertical passing offense.

Seminole Indian said it...He knows.
I quit clicking on any Haven link years ago. I had tried registering and could never get approved and figure if I can't comment on what is posted I don't intend to read what is posted.

Same boat for me.

I try to visit almost every board and register, but i stopped going to the haven because it just seemed like they had a big "Not a Topper? Then **** off!" sign on the board.

I am grateful that we have a good contingent here that keep us updated.

As stated here many times, HilltopperHaven is a site created and owned by one user. It's his site and he runs it on his own time. Many WKU fans have had frustrations too with getting registered there because he doesn't dedicate much time to approving new registrations regularly.

If many of you fellow SBC'ers would start posting on our rivals site, I think it might take off as a good secondary WKU message board. There are many WKU fans registered there but only occasional postings. It's a bit redundant to post on the Haven and then again on the Rivals site. With participation from ya'll, I think WKU fans would start posting there more. Just a thought. BTW, the link is http://wku.rivals.com
There's a reason Hilltopper Haven is called Hilltopper HAVEN.
It could also get going here too.

The real benefit of this site IMHO is the fact that many schools and confrences have a pressence here which generates more traffic.

Not a big fan of Rivals and Scouts message boards. I just dont like the functionality.

Agree. This is the best board I have ever seen for cool features. But I don't think any board could replace the haven. All the good dirt gets posted there. And until that changes that will be the board that WKU fans read to get all the good info. And a lot of bad info.
