Our new freshman QB, Dennis Brown, got off to a shaky start, but has looked good in the 2nd qtr - had some nice passes & got UConn in the end zone.

Looks like a better passer than DJ Hernandez is - kinda reminds me of Randall Cunningham out there.
Hey thats the QB that Dennis Brown reminds me of - Randall Cumingham. Dennis is looking good for a freshman. Our D is looking much much better with Danny Lashannah and Dan Davis. Man we could have used those two last week. No way Cincy could have run on us with Danny L playing LB. We have for the most part stopped RU run.

Our D is very strong with some of the starters back. Hopefully, our O can keep going in the 2nd half and move the ball.
Rutgers TD makes it 10-10 with 8:36 left in the 3rd quarter
UConn answers with a 51 yd TD run by Brockington, back comes Rutgers with at TD pass to Tres Moses.

Now 17-17 late 3rd qtr.

Looks like another UConn/RU nip & tuck battle 04-rock
RU up 26-17 now late in the 4th - capitalized on field position and their running game which has just taken over - Rice and Leonard are running all over us.

Don't know if our lack of depth is just catching up with us now, but our D has disappeared this qtr. :bang:
Wow! One more win and Rutgers is bowl eligible. Congrats Knights 04-cheers
Rutgers clearly brought their C game for about 2/3 of the game, luckily Hart and the defense struck when it mattered most.
Congrats to Rutgers.....I think you guys are heading to the Mineke bowl....how many fans will RU bring to a bowl game?

Now thats the stuff rivalries are made of. But Rutgers didn't play to its ability in the first half. The second half was considerably better. Ryan Hart reenergized the offense which leads me to believe he's back in the starting slot for Navy on Saturday. That being said, that Brown kid is gonna have a heck of a career at UConn. Great game today guys! 04-cheers

Good game to RU. All of the injuries really killed us on depth, especially on the 2nd half. Your DLINE played very well and our young OLINE fell apart. Our freshman QB is very good. If our OLINE could give him a few more secs, he would have made some big plays. The kid got an arm and he is composed. Good luck to RU. Who knows where they will end up but if they beat Navy next week, they should go bowling. I hope this UCONN team can recover and get two more wins somewhere.
Congrats to RU on the win - would like to see you guys go bowling!

04-cheers

At least the play of Dennis Brown was encouraging - he may be our QB of the future.
