Now I don't think middle will win but I think they can cover the 26 point spread I believe it is. Something just feels weird in this game like we might mess up and make it close

GT is down but I can't see MTSU pulling the upset sadly.

GT 48
MTSU 31

No injuries, look for positives, keep it within four touchdowns.

If we have 1 or less turnovers we cover the spread.

I think the final tally will be very close to the spread. I think we score near 30 and they score near 60. I wouldn't be surprised if a late score for one side or the other is what makes the final difference regarding the spread.

I was pretty happy that FAU covered the spread and walked away with no injuries.

MTSU needs to do the same with GT. We're not at the point that we can hope to challange those teams yet.

I'm just hoping to see continuous improvement and for the team to be competitive for all 4qrts.

No one (this side of Gardner Webb) can stop GT's offense outside of the power schools.

It's just too hard to defend. Your defense has to be right and be in position three times on nearly every play (the FB dive, the QB, and the pitch) and then you have to actually make the play if you're in the right place on all three options. Plus, GT's widerecievers can run like cheetahs but block like tightends. As I've said before if GT doesn't commit penalties or put the ball on the ground they are virtually unstoppable for most defenses (much less ours).

Georgia Tech is the worst possible program to face if you want to pull off an AQ upset, because you never have to face that stuff (especially in our spread happy conference).

Of course, Erk was our coach at that time and I think PJ was either at Navy or Hawaii. I can't remember your coaches name but he had some kind of nickname like "Boots" or something. I miss that rivalry!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong(I was born in 83 afterall, so my knowledge of offenses run in the 80's isn't that great) but the triple option was a much more prevalent offense back then so it wasn't such a stark contrast to what you'd see week in and week out. Not sure if it was run then like the spread is now, but pretty sure it wasn't the oddity that it is today.
