Now that UTSA won't be in the same conference as Tx State will the rivalry continue? and do you think other rivals could appear with teams/fanbases such as North Texas, Rice, and UTEP?

I hate UTEP, personally.

UNT seems to be the top on the list. They are a new addition to Con USA and are rather close in location. They could develop into a nice rivary.

Rice has a weak fan base doubt that develops.

UTEP hates us and we dont look at them favorably...hell its UTEP for crying out loud. I that developing into a nice rivary too.

I'd like to see a rivalry with Rice, but I think you're right. There doesn't seem to be enough interest on their end.

As far as Texas State, I don't really care. We don't have room for an OOC game with them for a few years anyway. I think by the time it's feasible to put them on the schedule, no one at either school will give a **** about what really wasn't a rivalry to begin with.

JMO, I think we may see the birth of some fierce rivalries between all the schools in C-USA that are in Texas. But the biggest rivalry for UTSA will probably be UNT, closely followed by UTEP.

I say LaTech.

UNT posters have been pretty obnoxious on this board anyways. UTEP guys have eased up a bit. I say we can develop something with UNT quicker than anyone else. LaTech would be nice, but they will be stomping on us pretty severely for the next couple of years. Hard to build a rivalry when you get blown out every time.

As far as Texas State, not sure why anyone would say it wasn't a true rivalry. Seemed like it to me, had all the markings of it. But now they can rot in the slumbelt, isolated from all other Texas schools. Don't care much for them.

1. UTEP will be the Big One in CUSA..... I believe
2, UNT will be next
3. TXST I just believe the game should be play sort like us and SMU
4. Rice you never know..
5. Houston - think this would be great OOC Rivalry

8. TCU
9. A&M
10.TECH
11. Texas

I would think UNT and UTEP could turn into a rivalry in CUSA. We won't be able to play TSU for several years and people will probably forget about it lol
