The race for the Coastal Division title is starting off quick. Who do you think will win? What are your thoughts - and what games do you think are the biggest "marquee" matchups of the year? Might be cool to look back at this at the ACC CG time and see who was right...
I picked Duke. I'm way out on a limb and revel in the fact that I should be the only one who makes this silly decision. If by some miracle I am correct I am going to come back here and troll hard.

I picked VT as I'm assuming the Pitt game was an aberration. The key games would be VT/FSU, VT/Clemson and VT/Miami.
I think VaTech @ Miami will decide the Coastal.
They all look like crap.

I agree. Thursday night game, ESPN, will probably be a sold out Sun Life, should be an excellent game.
Pitt?

I'ma say 0% chance it's sold out. I'll even help you a little and say 0% chance it tops 70,000.

The last VT @ UM game had an announced attendance of 40,101 and BOTH teams were ranked in the top 25.

Imma say you're wrong. It's a Thursday night, ESPN game. I know from experience that Thursday night marquee matchups - especially one that could determine the Coastal Division champion - are well attended, even in the smaller schools. At MT, we've had some of our biggest crowds on weeknight games. Depending on if we beat Notre Dame and/or FSU, the crowds will probably be very good for the rest of the year. NCSU is first, let's see the crowd then and you can make a guess (perhaps a guess that's actually statistically accurate) after that 05-stirthepot

When was the last time Miami had 70,000 or more in attendance at one of their home games against a team other than Florida State? I looked back through 2007 and the answer is 0 times. Only ~3 times has Miami had more than 60,000 at a non-FSU game. FIFTEEN times Miami has had less than 50,000 in attendance. In both '08 and '10 the attendance for VT was under 50,000. I didn't look at Thursday night games specifically so maybe there's something there to support a high attendance claim.

You do realize that for a good while we, for lack of a better term, stunk? We had Randy Shannon as our head coach and he screwed things up big-time. It's only a matter of time before people start to realize the results that Coach Golden's started to produce and come out to the games in droves once again...
