That is a rough schedule for a team picked to be last in the A-Sun.
Yeah it's pretty rough, but the only sure-fire loss on the schedule, IMO, is Ohio State. Of course I don't expect them to run the table or anything but I wouldn't be shocked if they're .500 heading into A-Sun play at Jax.

There's more raw talent on the roster than there was last year, and outside of Van Hoose, Rack, and Nealy, this is the same group of guys that defeated WVU on their home court.

Wish there was more home games.. Oh well. Still eager to see how well they'll do.
I understand the excitment, but winning an exhibition game against a DI is alot harder than winning a regular season game on the road in DI. Not saying it can't be done, but I don't see .500 even for what was a very solid DII program against that schedule.

Kennesaw State, who was a year removed from a DII title, was only 2-7 in the non-con against a much easier schedule. Now to everyone's suprise they were much better in the league which is where I also see NKU being better in my opinion. I don't think NKU will finish last.
Great schedule for our first D1 season, makes me excited for the future and hopefully in the next few years we can get some non conference games at home. This season will probably be pretty tough but Im liking our recruits for this year and next and think that by the time our transition is complete we will be in a position to be pretty competitive in the conference. I dont know if you have been following our recruiting on The Owl Howl but we just got commits from 6'6 SF's Deontae Cole and Cole Murray both are excellent shooters. Combine that with our great freshman class the future is looking bright.
Heard 2013-14 schedule nearly complete..

Also, OSU-NKU will be aired on the Big Ten Network.
You guys are rumored to secretly scrimmage Morehead St on Sunday

It will be really interesting to follow NKU through the season. Of course no one is expecting much, but it's only your 1st year in D1. I remember Kennesaw was much better in their initial years, and then began a downward slide they haven't recovered from. There's pages and pages of smack talk between ETSU and Kennesaw fans about who was going to be running this league....well it's neither of them (but especially not Kennesaw)! I will be genuinely happy to see NKU do well with the exception of the 2 Mercer games, haha! Look at what North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, and USC-Upstate have done so far. They are all in the top half of the league and were in NKU's shoes within the last 10 years.

I will be watching the Big Ten Net when you play Ohio State!
