i frequently read louisville's scout message board and go through periods where i frequently post there. for last football season, west virginia fans made regular cameo apperances, showed a lot of support for the cardinals, and generally got along quite well. the same was the same for louisville who pulled hard for west virginia.

my god how things have changed.

the respect continued after an extremely emotional elite eight basketball game. it even continued up until friday of last week. now, these two fan bases have nothing nice to say to one another. louisville fans think west virginia fans are rowdy thugs. west virginia fans think louisville fans are whiny babies. mud is slinging all over the place.

i gotta tell ya, this is great stuff to read. a couple more exciting football and basketball games like the ones they've already played, and you've got a monster rivalry on your hands. i think one probably exists already.

the conference is growing up pretty quick.

Its just the hot heads. I respect WVA and lots them still repect UL! However, when we play, it will be a war.

If you thought this yrs UL/WVU game was good...wait untill next yr....if no one goes to the NFL early both squads are going to have a ton of talent coming back...hope the BE is smart and doesn' play the game untill Nov.

-- Also hope ULs football expansion plans go though because they will get 60,000 easy for that game next yr... I know I'll go if there is enough staduim seating

I love WVU when they're not playing UofL. I predicted from last May that Louisville would not win in Morgantown this year. I hoped against hope but knew all along. I also predicted this would be one of the biggest rivaries in the NBE...even challenging the backyard brawl. There's enough room for more than one hot rivary. WVU will probably take up where Memphis left off...with the intensity I hope, but without the hate....after all, we need to conserve as much hate as we can muster for the hated Blue of pUKe

It didn't take long for the true colors to come out. I figured the Big East lovefest wouldn't last forever.

Jackson, I believe you're asking for too much. We've been here for a long time and we've seen a lot of problems with scheduling, among other things. This game will probably begin next year's schedule because of television. Just my opinion.
