During the Halftime Highlights of the FSU Clemson game, Taylor Heinicke was announced as the the Prime Time Performer of the Day.
But is he better than Bazemore? LOL. Jk, let's not have a 10 page thread jacking about that.
Apparently, according to my Twitter feed, it was on the Notre Dame/Michigan game as well. Unfortunately, I am relegated to Scooby Doo at the moment 03-hissyfit
There was a studio update about Taylor in the 4th quarter of Arkansas-Rutgers on ESPNU.
I got texts from friends watching the Penn St game (lots of Penn St alumnus at my company here) and they said it got updated on that and the texts came out of the blue... "omg! are you at that game!?? how many times has your heart stopped?!" and my boss said he walked into the living room and the SC game was playing and he heard the announcer say "and after this break an ncaa record has been broken!" and he waited and it was ODU... he had to take his son to his football game today so he missed it. Suuucks.
I got texts from a few people asking if the score and passing yards were correct.

Heinicke will be on Sirius/XM Radio tonight after the ND-Michigan game on the College Nation station.
We need to enjoy every snap he takes as a Monarch. This is going to be an incredibly tough act to follow in 2+ years.
If he doesn't get a "helmet sticker" from that bag o bones (Lou Holtz) or "Mammoth" Mark May, I will be taking a run at them on Twitter! That was an immaculate performance! Congratulations on the win and the incredible record set by Mr. Heinicke. God, you guys are going to bring so much prestige to Conference USA!
Is there a link to the ESPN highlight package from the game??
Unfortunately, from reading comments under some of the news stories about this, the focus is on the lack of defense. I guess it's a no win, had this been against Campbell in a blowout, there would be critics about that as well. Pity.
IMO, the majority of any comments, of any online story, on any website are negative. I wouldn't worry about it. The stories themselves have been focusing on TH's amazing performance and that's what matters. Haters gonna hate.

Yep! ODU got as much favorable publicity for this one regular season game as any team gets for winning the FCS championship.

Generally the people who write negative comments after any and every online article are pathetic losers.
Watching College Football Today this morning, Taylor got his well-deserved helmet sticker! Rece Davis did the honors. Lou Holtz is stuck in a Notre Dame time warp. Congratulations, Taylor and Old Dominion Football.

I was on (I've decided I'll never post there again unless it's about tickets) and the longest thread about TH's day, isnt even on the ODU board. Its on the JMU board where they're trying to focus on our defense! Last I checked it had 17 pages of our game. It's a bigger discussion then their own game against URI!

22 pages and a brand new Heinicke thread.. lulz

BlueTrombone, any chance the band can learn this song for the JMU game?

Is the band going to JMU?

Small band, not the entire one. I'm fairly certain it's because JMU wouldn't give us enough tickets for the full band.

@ODUDrunkard, I'm not sure. I can't find a version online. I'm not very handy with arranging either...

Thanks for the heads up.
