Not that this hasn't happen before but with the TV contract talks in full swing with ESPN, now is not the time for the suckage to reappear again.

CUSA sucks yes it does. It is definitely the worst conference in Div I football this year. But we're not trying to negotiate a new TV deal like the BE. If Rutger loses to Arkansas, then chit will truly hit the fan because the Razorbacks put the "do-do" in doo-doo!!!

Now that was a strange moment.
well, Rutgers is winning 21-13.

And, here's the thing with the nbe. With as poorly as some of the teams have played, still have 3 undefeated teams.
look at other conferences
ACC- 1 after tonight
B10- 2 after tonight guaranteed; Minnesota playing right now.
B12- 7 after tonight
P12- 3 after tonight
SEC- 4-6 after tonight

so, BE is right there for teams undefeated..
You really think one season, No, Not even 4 weeks into a season is gonna make a difference? Look at the PAC-12. They have had no more than 3 good teams in 4 years and look what happen with them? Keep in mine that is the worst hoops conference out west.
You picked a bad time to worry about this. And Rutgers has everything under control right now.

I think the one season (or 4 weeks) is going to make a huge difference when the nBE is currently trying to get a great TV deal. So if you don't think the nBE looking pretty bad right now at the most important period in the history of the conference then you are simply being naive.

I'm not worry about it; you should be. Glad to know Rutgers have things under control. The Knights have no business losing to this Arkansas team.
There's a lot of sucking good around in all conferences right now with the exception of the SEC.

The ACC has been inept-- BC, Duke, Wake Forest, Maryland.. need I say more.
The B10 has been dreadful-- Indiana has lost to MAC schools and Iowa lost to a MAC school today. Purdue stinks and Michigan State struggled to put Eastern MI away.
The B12 has Kansas who might be one of the five worst teams in an AQ Conference. They lost to Rice and Northern Illinois. The rest of the conference has been solid
The PAC12 has Colorado and Washington State who are in that bottom five with Duke and Kansas. Didn't Colorado lose to Sacremento State for crying out loud?

Even the SEC is not al that hot this year. Vandy, Arky, UK, TN... pee--you!
Why should I worry about it? Honestly? WTF does a TV deal do for me? BSU and our 1 million a year have done just fine. Do you think I am gonna stop going to games because it is not on ESPN? Come on man..... Have you been to a UAB game? I bet you had trouble finding a seat huh?

Sometimes. Finding a perfect seat is hard, we get nervous sitting on those bleachers, because they're bound to collapse at any moment.

What a ****ing ****
The Big 10 had a worse day than the Big East. THE BIG 10 SUCKS.

And the SEC? Tennessee barely beating Akron? Gee, I'm impressed.

The thread is about the timing.

The BE is in negotiations for a new tv contract right now.

Those other conferences have years before they need to worry.
well, here's the thing with the Big East now- 3 undefeated teams, and 4 teams that will be in the top 30 of the polls this week..

And, just a thought - last week of season- Rutgers and Louisville play that Thursday night. both are 4-0 right now. Could both be 11-0 heading into that last game? That would overshadow anything that Memphis, Houston, SMU- any of those other schools.....

You can deflect all you want. Boise joined the nBE because of the potential in increased revenue for football. You should be worried because this is a big deal for your program.

And UAB has nothing to do with the nBE situation. Stop trying to bring apples into a conversation about oranges....lol.
Yeah...bad timing for a league that has 2 Ranked teams and 2 more just outside the Top 25 and unbeaten...if you say so...lol 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Well I at least I'm not on the CUSA board trying to justify and spin crapola about the nBE....just sayin'......
Well at least we don't throw giant stones at 3-USA (for the most part) and expect for 3-USA fans to be silent when we do so.

That said our board is similar to your board when it comes to criticizing the ACC.
there's nothing to spin. The 7th BCS bowl is nothing but a major win for the Big East. Now, if a BE team goes 11-1, they will be in the BCS. PERIOD.

Don't be mad...didn't say anything negetive about C-USA.

Only thing I pointed out is the apparent reporting:
1. 7th Top Tier Game looks likely
2. It appears that the Conferences are allowing the BIG EAST to create it own bowl for it Champion in years it doesn't make it new Top Tier Game-(from the Yahoo.com article).

Just gave the opinion that the Powers that Be would not allow this go to forward unless they can make big $$$$ from both games...they are not about "charity" they are about making $$$$...it is what it is.

Don't like it...oh well...get over it.
