Toledo is getting owned by this FCS team. They are like 3/4 the size and kicking our asses! I saw a guy taken off the field and he was listed as 5'10" and 165 lbs. And he wasn't a kicker!! Getting owned.
Akron 13 - 13
BTW, great job today to WMU, Balls, NIU, and CMU!!! Also great job to EMU even if just a moral victory...you really scared the crap out of the MSU fanbase. I was laughing at MSU fans and now I feel like one of them, lol.

Best thing about the Rockets getting their asses handed to them is that they paid this team about $400,000 to come kick our teeth in.

Not to jump to conclusions, but wondering if the MAC's Sagarins will finally rise above C-USA after this week's results.

CUSA is hands down the worst conference in the country! The good new is there is attendance thread on the CUSA board.
Way to make us (CUSA) look really, really bad.

Great weekend for the MAC.
It's not that the MAC made C-USA look bad per se (since we didn't play any of their teams), but we are getting many more quality wins over teams from conferences formerly known at AQ'ers. I root for all so-called non AQ teams including C-USA....what I have a problem with is how so many of those C-USA posters are so sure that their conference is much better than the MAC and Sunbelt, when it's apparent that they are not.

CUSA is the worst conference in the country this year. I am shocked at how bad Southern Miss and Houston are. Marshall may be one of the best teams this year.
Wanted to stop in and give my congrats on the great weekend for the MAC. This has got to be one of the best weekends ever for the conference and Akron still has a chance tied at 23.

Go Zips!

Go MAC!!

They've always been that way since we joined the conference. I root for all non-BCS teams as well and will when we leave for the BE since it has practically become non-BCS conference as well.

That Akron win is looking a whole lot better now too. This many BCS wins in one weekend has gotta be a non-BCS record. (Assuming Akron can pull it off)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. 04-rock
Yes, I was going to say how much I appreciate Blah stopping bye.
SHOCKED over CMU's win, as I'm sure the 70,000+ Iowa fans at the game were.

I'm a Bronco and I know the Bronco/Chimp rivalry is supposed to be the most fierce in the state, but I'm willing to root for CMU against the big ten. (Although it frustrates me that WMU hasn't beaten the big ten in a while and that it could help CMU's enrollment or help their football program get better)

A little redemption after CMU's game vs MSU this season.

CMU might be tougher then everybody thought. MAC West will be crazy.

I was at the WMU game and the announcer's all "And a final:Iowa 31"

HUGE PAUSE

"Central Michigan 32"

Actually a few claps (probably more of how it'll help UM/MSU
And of course NIU getting redemption after last season's loss vs Kansas, Ball State's second AQ win this season, and Ohio still undefeated.

On WMU's calendar I'm starting to look at the Ball State game as bigger then the NIU game. I also think Ball State can ruin Ohio's chances of going undefeated.
I was really surprised at the lack of passing on the part of USF. The Bulls had 312 yards passing but much of it was in the 2nd half and toward the end of the game. Alot of it also had to do with the inability to wrap up their QB. He's pretty good.

They started out something like 27 passes to 8 runs when everyone in the world knows that passing is BSU's weakness.
The depth of the MAC is starting to emerge. When CMU, EMU and Akron all play very well vs BCS teams and the MAC's top teams take care of business it shows the relative strength of the conference. These wins today will boost the computer rankings of the MAC. MAC won several games that in past years they didn't MAC is clearly stronger than CUSA and today closed the gap on the MWC and Big East. In a week where its two best teams Ohio and Toledo played FCS schools, the conference still posted 4 BCS wins. Amazing.
This has to be one of the MAC's better weekends ever in taking down AQ conference OOC foes. Some really nice wins today and good efforts by EMU and Akron as well.
Blah, stop by anytime and post. Or just stop by and leave your signature and forget posting! Yawhser!
Congrats to all the MAC teams that played BCS teams tough and especially those that won. Nice weekend for the MAC outside of the south.
What on earth has happened to C-USA?? I mean, I know we all like to poke fun at some of their "over the top" posters and their constant "attendance smack" threads, but programs like So. Miss and Houston have been excellent in past years, and now all of sudden they seem to be terrible. Marshall may be the best team in that conference this year. And, they are going to get much worse in the next few years with IA "newbies" coming in and some of their best programs leaving for the Big East. I say in jest that the Herd should just come on back! (I know they won't). Amazing how the MAC will likely get better by pretty much "standing pat".
