Last week prediction (ECU 24- USM 21). Actual score 24-14.

ECU Rollup

Carden got a complete game under his belt. The ECU defense seems to have turned the corner. The kicking game is still suspect even with a 50+ yard FG against USM. Conditioning appears to be in ECUs favor against any of the remaining teams on the schedule.

UNC Rollup

Got bombarded by Louisville in the first half and then decided it was time to play some ball coming up just short at the end of the game. Renner throws for 350+ yards and 5 TD against the Louisville D plus they have home field advantage.

Spread as of today is 16.5 for UNC. Probable score (UNC-41 to ECU 27) with ECU beating the spread

Sticking to my principles and not picking against the Pirates...............

ECU 35 - UNC 31
Carden throws for 3 TDs
I made the UNC game my only prediction before the season started... got to find it somewhere on here.

Beating USM on the road will not be easy, unless Ellis is changing things dramatically and they have not had the time to catch on to things yet. UNC will be a loss. I figure we'll have a "WTF" game as well somewhere along the way.

9-3 regular season, 1st or 2cd in the East.

Quote:Why so convinced UNC is a loss? ECU beat themselves the last to meetings with turnovers. After 35 of them last year, that better damn well have been the focus of spring football.
UNC isn't a better team than ECU is, IF ECU isn't too beat up from USC and USM I give ECU the edge right now. Call it my "way too early and only preseason pick"
ECU 27-UNC 17 Write that down.

Found it... Prediction made on June 23 this year

Very possible. Defensively, we seem much improved over the last two weeks even if USM didn't seem to be clickin offensively. Our guys ought to be really fired up playing the Tarbabies. Can we hold them to 17 points though..........who knows. A one-point win is fine with me.
I want us to destroy them.
The objective should be jump them early as much as possible and hold on at the end, because they're gonna take a run at you, Louisville almost found that out the hard way. I got y'all winning by 6...Man, I hope that game's on TV in this area, I really want to see that one. Handle your business, Pirates. Make the Heels kneel! NQG!
Matrix, the game will be on ESPNU.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Hmmmm if Carolina does win... that sounds plausible. I think they want to come out strong because of how Louisville went down. We are riding the mo' of beating USM on the road. We do have a lot of seniors looking for redemption. If we can keep those turnovers down, and considering we know Fedora's game plan from dealing with him at USM, I think we can get this.
I was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off. I forgot you actually have to have an offense to score 35. On a side note, the UNC score was actually close. :ecu:
