Gonna be interesting to see if things heat up to the SouthWest of us.

Western Kentucky is up next.

Of course, I think we made the better hire.

If USM gives him five years like we gave Neil, we shan't worry about them ever finishing above us in the divisional standings for a long time.
"Ahh, suddenly the new bathrooms were the high point of the day..... Sorry! Lord I Apologize, that wasn't even funny..... And be with the poor clueless coaches at our school."
This guy reads like a C******y clone. He's already polarized and disenchanted the fan base, & they're 0-2 with a loss in conference play already. After the season they had last year, I'm not surprised at some of these reactions. Maybe I'm misreading something, but I watched the majority of their loss to East Carolina, they trotted this young freshman QB out there and he struggled mightily. They brought in their junior QB, the one that actually started against Nebraska, and the whole mood changed.

They got some internal problems in this guy's first season. Their cross to bear...I want UAB to take them down thru there, and I want to be there to see it!
Poor Tommy West. Can't seem to catch a break
I'll predict right now that this year will be the best team Johnson fields there.
We can't let him pull a Callaway on us year after year like we did to them. Although if we beat them 70-14 I'd be just fine with that. I just can't believe they made this poor of a hire, Southern Miss is an attractive job for an up and comer. Johnson is way too similar to Callaway. Someone posted in one of the above threads that he's basically established himself as an assistant so he's in no hurry to be successful, doesn't have the same fire a young coach has. That was Callaway's problem in my opinion. That and an overall incompetence/lack of personality. I'm just happy we finally got the kind of coach we wanted. I think it will pay off in the future.

Ellis will only be there this year and next. He will be run off of the job after his 20th loss.
These jokers are going to ruin their program, I didn't hear anything about how they plan to win just that they expect to because it's Southern Miss....

Johnson may be one win better than Callaway. That's about it.
Ellis Johnson was outgoing A.D. Richard Gianinni's last salvo against the USM faithful wanting Gianinni's removal.
