This is my 5th Season having season tickets and I gotta say this season, so far, the students have been there. The environment at the first game and this game has been very good despite the smaller crowds. I dunno if students are buying seats in regular sections or they're recent grads but they're making Section 139 very enjoyable.
Since I got to Pitt in 2008 I have noticed an uptick in student support nearly each year. I remember reading on rivals that the student support for the team had been much better in 2008 than the years just prior to that. McCoy helped and then of course the product in 2008-2010 was good.
Now if only more adult fans would support the Panthers in that fashion we may be on to something.
Honestly... I'd rather some of those adults sit at home. They make the games, even if they're wins, not enjoyable at all. I despise being told to sit down, even during a big play. I see continue to build what we got going w/ those that are students and recent grads. By 2020 we should have one live ass crowd(if everyone finds work in Pittsburgh of course).
