Great job with the coaching... thank God. They say that the biggest week of improvement for any team is weak 1 to weak 2. Well, that Thursday night game was such a quick turnaround time that they didn't learn crap. These last ten days was your weak 1 to weak 2 leaning imprevement that you'd hope to see. Thank God we did! I think this is the type if stuff we should see from this staff...
What a win. And the crowd was something else as well esp in the 4th Q esp in my section(139).

I have 0 idea where Tino came from. It seemed that Chryst and company found a strength and kept going with that strength. I know that this may be blasphemy, but even though Graham played a very good game himself. I wanted to see Shell get more and more carries. I feel that Shell is better than Graham. That may have to do w/ Graham still being banged up.

Major kudos to Brooks Bollinger, and the rest of the offensive coaching staff.

With everything said, I'm still going to play wait and see with this offense.

Back to Tino, kid got heart... mad heart. He could've easily left the game w/ the ankle injury and kept on trucking.
I have said many, many, many negative things about Tino. But a P*ssy, was never one of them.
Can't remember where I posted it (probably on Scout) but there was a suspicion on my part that some of the talent issues that this team appeared to have been suffering from may have been predominantly an issue with mental mistakes and simply playing slower because of the new systems. Evidently, the kids are learning the systems better now and we are seeing that this team has better talent than thought. But I'll admit that today it looked like this team has more talent than i thought they had. I would love to see how this week's Pitt team would have performed against Cincy if they played today.

Cue the Cincy fans gloating about how they should be able to beat VT easily because they convincingly beat Pitt last week.... Of course, many of them fail to grasp the concept that Pitt has new coaches (again) and that their performance will be very streaky this year.
I'm sure those same Bearcat fans forget that their team went 4-8 the year that they had new coaches two years back.
