We have need of an online meeting room for long-distance training of multiple folks simultaneously. Skype now charges for group chats because you have to buy a premium membership, there's Google group chats but you have to jump through hoops and do weird stuff to qualify, but maybe it's worth it. Gotomeeting.com?

Anybody have any recommendations?
We use the heck out of gotomeeting. I have no idea how expensive it is.
haven't used it yet, but will be this semester, but apparently google+ has "hangouts" for video chatting. Not sure if it's the same thing you've looked at. But basically have the group of people all in the same circle of friends and you're supposed to be able to video conference with them freely.

I had seen that and thought about using it, didn't know anybody who had done it yet or what it took for others to use it also. Thanks for the input.
I only use the free chat rooms.

For your sake I hope they have video.

For their sake I hope they don't.
Use GoToMeeting all the time, but it's paid for by my employer. I think it is $50 a month? I have no idea cause I don't see or pay the bill.

At this point our business has spread to about six other cities, which is still manageable under a 'free' canopy, I think, but if gotomeeting is that great we'll have to look into it. Google+ is free, but man is it clumsy.
We use WebEx. Could be $$$ though.
WebEx training center - specifically if you are doing training.

Have everyone use the VoIP option instead of regular audio conferencing and you won't pay for audio (one of the options that you can set when you setup the meeting).

Was not familiar with WebEx, thanks to both of you.

Wow, I tried to send you a PM with some details but I earned my way to your ignore list.

Guess you never know!
I have used both GoToMeeting and WebEx and don't really have complaints about the quality of either. I know GoToMeeting has a free 30 day trial, so it won't hurt to see if it works for you.

Both have 30 day trials.

For training, I like WebEx training center. IF it's more of a conference call with some slideware sharing, either will do.

I didn't know that, thanks.

WebEx seems to be a little better for sharing desktops than GoToMeeting. I have also used https://join.me/ which is part of the log me in family. It's got the easiest url to remember.
