Figured I'd go ahead and make my first post. Any score predictions for the game this weekend? I hope we absolutely destroy FIU.
UCF better destroy FIU. I don't like score predicting because no one knows when it comes to oleary.
I refuse to predict the score. I just want us to crush FIU.

Agreed. I want the result to reflect a score that should have made the bookies pull the line.

63-0
Their president said at a pep rally that they "spanked" us. If we win, and win big I promise I will mail a paddle or a leather belt to this guy.

You better follow up on this! I expect pictures!
I swear I will. Only if we win and big. It has to be convincing, not by a fg or something. I'll also write the score on it in large numbers.
Why the intense spite of FIU ?
UCF went down there last year and the Miami locals on the team wanted to showboat for thier friends. They forgot it was a team effort, and they made the huge mistake of underestimating thier opponent. UCF got the "spanking" they deserved for losing focus on the "team" effort.
FIU is a very talented team, and they deserve respect. Remember, FIU will be taking our place in CUSA next year, so they are not an inferior team from an inferior conference. They are well coached and they are coming to UCF to with the expectation of winning.

That said, UCF is back on track and we will put a thumping on FIU this year...prediction 49-10.
This year we have focus and a chip on our shoulder to redeem ourselves from last years blundered season.
The defense looks viscious, save some missed asignments in the secondary/linebacker area. This should be cleaned up by the FIU game. The offense is high powered and only limited by the inexperience of the QB. Blake Bortles is the real deal, he just needs more experience to let the game slow down for him. Once he learns to stop staring down his primary reciever and "look off" the defensive backs he will be awesome.

Go Knights !
I don't care what the score is, I WANT COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF THE GOLDEN KITTIES. :noisycricket:

That is all.

Who's going to be there tomorrow?

I will be, going insane in the front row of the student section.
I plan on attending the Missouri game. Not sure if I can that weekend, though.
I'm there. I'll be heckling the visitor's bench the whole game.
GAMEDAY!

Wow, it has been one long off season away from the Brighthouse. 03-phew Let's hope we get some payback today on the grandest of scales (run it up George!). Go Knights!
It's ok to post pics of all the game day "talent" btw.
What an ugly win. Sadly, I won't be mailing a paddle to their president, cause that was no spanking.
Relied on score updates at work. A win is a win, and I'm hyped that we took it to FIU early!
A win is a win is correct. I don't know what kind of halftime speeches GOL is giving the team, but we're having another one of those "suck in the 3rd quarter" years.

Take-aways:
-Bortles is talented, but needs experience. Still the best QB we've had in a while.
-Defense needs work. First half was great, what happened? Lack of depth?
-We need Murray back to win some tough games. Johnson and Harvey are nothing to sneeze at, but Murray seems to have put it together and it might be a season before Storm becomes the guy we know he can be.
-The playbook is finally opening. I was especially surprised by the use of Godfrey. This can only be a good thing for us.
