I love the sour grapes comment from the Wyo fan that "isn't sour grapes."
Would be interesting to see the video he speaks of.
Interesting yes. It still wouldn't prove intent.

Some people obviously think that when tackling, these kids always hit exactly what they are aiming for. Does anybody think that QBs intend to throw bad passes and interceptions? Of course not.

The outcome is not reliable proof of the player's intent.

Your response to that idiot was well done...
That guys is ignorant. Without seeing what happened, I bet Robinson was trying to PUSH Smith out of bounds. However, when Dukes horse collared him, it pulled him down quicker than Robinson thought, therefore he ended up hitting him in the head/face mask. I wish there was a video replay of this so we could actually see it.
It was a full speed hit on a player who was running hard for the end zone. Smith was not looking to run out of bounds to avoid the hit.

I can't believe how bad the Wyoming fans are freaking out over this. Unfortunate injury..yes. Intentional...no way. Robinson barely touched Smith...the injury most likely occurred when the qb hit his head coming down after the horse collar. The Wyoming fans make it sound as though we intentionally hurt the kid. It's football...freak plays happen. I guess we can blame Farr's knee injury on those mean old Wyoming lineman...had to be intentional on their part. Their coaches must teach them to go after the knees. Lol.
It was a game changer. I can see it from their eyes and imagine, roles reversed we be going through the same conniptions. Wyoming players are really classy about it and the game. Their fans will come around to their way of seeing it. I still haven't seen a video but can't imagine anything intentional. We just haven't played that way in years and our players were very complimentary of that QB.

If the Wyoming players were so classy, why did close to 75% of them run off field after the game w/o shaking one Toledo's player hand?

Yeah I'm surprised he got knocked out on that one but it was a definite TKO by Robinson. I can understand the fans' concern for him because I would freak if any of our players got hurt like that and I hope to not ever have to see it happen. Definitely glad to hear he wasn't seriously hurt other than the momentary TKO.

But I will say this: if you are a QB (especially one that apparently enjoys running) and are playing against defensive guys that are big enough and strong enough to break you in half, it is wise to keep your mouth shut during the game. You know that by jawing them, you are going to fire them up and ensure they give you 100%. That's what you do as a competitor and by watching Rockets games, you know that Robinson is a major competitor and loves to hit. That's what he does...he's a defensive player.
wasn't a dirty hit by J Rob, however, Dukes illegal tackle put the qb in a particularly vulnerable position. still, as any of us who have played defense in competitive football know when you our grasping for a tackle and get some facemask or shoulder pad your instinct is to pull, not let go. guys at a high level learn to fight that instinct but still inadvertantly commit horse collar and face mask penalties (wyoming also had a horse collar infraction).

as campbell4prez said wyoming's qb was a daring, intense, boistrous player who was challenging our d with his feet, arm, spirit and mouth. that our freshman corner horse collarded him to end a big run isn't surprising. just unfortunate he got broke like that, glad to see he's overcome it and can keep playing.
Robinson does play chippy, though. He put a pretty good lick on the AZ QB pushing him out of bounds--all in bounds and legal, but it was very aggressive. The QB jumped right up hopping up and down as though he liked it. Pretty gutsy as it was a heck of a hit that put him right flat on his back.

Agree with the "instinct" to grab "something," especially if the game is on the line as it was the past 2 weeks.
I wouldn't get too worked up about. It's the normal reaction by fans emotionally involved for their team.

Have to ask them. I was referring to the ones in the articles. They were very complimentary.

agree.
The horsecallar is the problem with that play. the rest is just a defender trying to keep a runner out of the endzone
Its a penalty.
There was an unfortunate injury.
Blame lies with Dukes not RObinson.
But I wouldn't like it happening to my QB.

Correct, the blame is on the freshman playing in his second college game of his career. He'll learn. It was a fast play, and I am positive he was just trying to bring Smith down. We missed so many tackles during the game, I bet he was just grabbing whatever he could.

Actually it was Mark Singer who rolled over on Farr's knee/leg. Just a freak play after the Poke was tackled and on the ground.
