Saw a tweet about a recruit that plans to be at UAB's midnight madness.

It's the first I've heard about it. Anyone heard anything that's been confirmed? Of course it could just be one of those midnight practice sessions, but I'm hopeful it's an actual event designed for fans like we had in the past.

I can confirm that there will be a midnight and at some point this season madness will occur.

I'm hoping we do one. I know the reason we haven't the past few years is because Davis didn't like them, but hopefully Haase will. I think it's a good event for fans and recruits.

The crowd may be small if we do it but you have to start something to build it.

I was told they are working on something, but it most likely will not be at midnight.

Nobody has "midnite" madness anymore. They start earlier in the evening.

Can confirm what Jay said. Not sure what it will be called.

I really enjoyed one or two years they had it at Bartow right after a UAB football game. The only time I ever got to watch our players from the lower side levels lol.

I remember that. That was a great night. I believe it was right after we handily beat TCU on national TV in front of 30,000+ and Hackney had his "getting away from pressure like Godzilla" move.

Boy do I miss that era of UAB football. Sure hope we see something similar (but better) soon.

I believe that this issue is currently being addressed...
