Talking about the teams leaving/coming in

Saying that we are getting closer to CUSA than the "Big 5" 03-banghead due to the "cache" of teams leaving vs being replaced. "Rumblings" of UConn and Luoisville leaving. And that the BEast can't continue this way.

As for the quality of teams being replaced, I guess they didn't notice the Pitt/Cuse games yesterday
Also inferred that the only way to survive is to add Notre Dame or BYU

I'm sure the BE appreciates their concern over our well being. I'm also sure that the BE will take their suggestion into consideration. 03-lmfao

As far as their continual bashing, It just confirms that they know they have no shot at retaining the conference media contract. 04-cheers
And then i almost fell off the couch, that our champ needs to be competitive to te ACC? What a moron Gilmore another ESPN hack

They had better hope we don't become competitive with the SEC. 04-rock
I heard that too and then Rod Gilmore mentioned you need another team with cache like BYU, if you can't get Notre Dame. They were definitely trying like hell to downgrade the conference to recruits who may be watching. They even mentioned how recruits are paying close attention to the situation.

But I think UL, UC, UConn and USF fans should all get comfortable because they're going nowhere. Texas drives the Big 12 ship and they took WVU over UL. And the ACC's new deal basically prevents expansion as schools would lose money individually to fit in 2 more. Besides, once they see our new TV deal and its potential for our conference growth, they won't want to leave.

On a side note. ESPN needs to get rid of the female side reporter who can't talk straight. This is the second straight game she's had a problem getting out what she wants to say.

LOL!!! Ditto on both.
Only way ACC expands if if Clemson/FSU go to the B12...which the B12 would take both over UofL hands down. Otherwise, ACC isn't adding anybody. I don't see ACC adding UofL if the B12 expands and adds Clemson/FSU so yes...i think USF/UofL/UC can just relax none of us are going anywhere...
I'm not going to be able to take an entire season of Rod Gilmore. I'm also not going to be abel to take an entire season of ESPN bashing the league.
We just need to win and shut them up
I really fell on the floor laughing when ESPN's Rod Gilmore called Pitt a "juggernaut" program and a team the Big East could ill afford to lose.

Ah...Rod...did ya see Pitt's game yesterday?

Didn't think so.

It was so obvious a "Big East" Bash segment...I wouldn't be surprised if it was scripted.

As one UCF poster brought up and chuckled...and said something like "Yeah, great advice on how the Big East should invite BYU Rod...I bet that NO ONE at the Big East had ever thought of that one!"

PS. Just imagine if the Big East signed with NBC...and they were just treated FAIRLY (not even promoted) by their announcing teams....what a breath of fresh air that would be.
Gilmore is a moron...we all know that. He hates the Big East....

as for saying we need BYU...agreed

as for saying we need ND...agreed but anybody that says that as if it's possible is a mornon*

*see Gilmore
Looking good, 'Ville. Stats so far: 314 total yards to 165 for UK; Time of possession; 19:43 to Ky's 10:17.

And I like that enthustiac crowd of Red in the stands! Looks good really good in HD!!!
Im just gonna stick my fingers in my ears and go "la la la, I can't hear you". I think it will be more interesting how they bash Big East basketball since the TV deal will be signed at some point during the basketball season.
I had my college choices down to UC and UofL....

I'm don't regret picking UC for a second loved my time there but UofL will always be one of my "other" teams....when not playing UC of cours

Sadly, I don't think it would matter if we won and had 6 teams in the top 20. ESPN would still bash the Big East.

I'm not sure what part of what they said is wrong? Seems all to be spot on.

Only part i don't get is the rumblings about UConn or UL. Obviously if there was any interest from a power conference you'd hear them in the media begging for admission, similarly to what UL and WVU were doing last summer.
They need to stop this game; it's not competitive .... isn't there a "10 run rule" in FB?

Gilmore is an a$$. He says the Big East is essentially going nowhere; he says we had a horrible weekend and he mentions the Pitt & Syracuse losses. 01-wingedeagle
NO...they are beating UK

Bragging that beating UK is beating the SEC in football is like beating Depaul in hoops and bragging you beat the Big East
