Getting smashed by kent state
I would have liked to see them put up a fight, but they'll learn from the experience. They don't have much rest between now and October 20th, so they might be slightly worn down by the time they get to us. The LSU game is going to be rough if Kent State can make it look this easy.
But then again...

I'm impressed that CBS got on this so quickly.
lol!!!!! What a play!

Kent State 41 Towson 21... I'm excited for that rematch!

6 turnovers for Towson is the story of the game

...outside of that punt.
Additionally in opponent watch:

UD wins 42-21 against West Chester.
New Hampshire beat Holy Cross 38-17.
Hampton trails Tennessee Tech late in the 4th 41-24
Campbell lost to Shorter (an NAIA school) 31-20.
And,
Georgia State got crushed by South Carolina State 33-6.
So, the dude ran the wrong way--why exactly were the Towson players trying to tackle him?

We may score 100 against Campbell.
Towson was statistically in the game. They will be ok.

UD, on the other hand gave up 410 yards vs Div II West Chester in the win. They have some real issues on defense.

GaSt vs ....well look for yourself. Really sad.

Ga St game... seriously. SC St only had 1 receiver catch a ball and 6 RBs with action? GASt had 2 with catches and 5 RBs?
Add in Campbell and Duquesne game may be our greatest test until UNH.
Ga State is absolutely terrible. We are going to annihilate them this year. The fact they think they are FBS ready is HILARIOUS.
GA State fans were asking last week what the single game CAA attendance record was...

Pretty clear they won't come close to that mark (25,742 Richmond @ JMU last year), less than 19k today
Dang gsu only got two field goals off against a meac team at home?

Sure, they should be fine, but it was 41-7 before 2 late Towson TDs and garbage yards for QB. When it mattered they turned the ball over and Terrance West couldn't run. And it could have been worse at halftime. Kent St should have had first and goal inside the 10 after the muffed punt but the dude ran the wrong way and they ended up with a FG--it should have been 31-7 at the half.

Their punter was awesome.

But they had a RB with 12 carries for 120 yards. Why did he only get 12 carries? I don't think he got hurt. They hired a name to coach and it's biting them in the rear.
Kent State was just bigger, faster and more athletic. It definitely looked like a difference in talent level to me. Even T. West didn't really get off like he does in the CAA. Sorta shows the growth we will need to play at the CUSA level, because those southern schools would give Kent State all they could handle.
