Not a bad schedule. That tournament has some good teams.
When was the last time we played at a MEAC school (MD-Eastern Shore) in basketball for either gender?

Maybe because the Lady's did lose to Maryland Eastern Shore last year, they decided to do a return game. Who knows. I don't see any benefit of this game though.
Overall, other than the Las Vegas tournament, there are some really awful teams on this schedule. I'm not sure if this is the type of schedule that will draw fan interest.
One of the weakest OOC schedules I've seen for the Lady Monarchs. We are retooling so we should do just fine with this. Tennessee will be back on the schedule soon enough. Until then, my hate for UT will remain at its current level.

Maybe not, both of our legendary coaches are gone so our schools have no ties to each other anymore.
I'm assuming the Lady Monarchs willing regain their national powerhouse status to warrant UT on the schedule again.
Don't hold your breath on that.
Pat is gone. Wendy Larry was the single reason we played UT. If Pat were still there we wouldn't be playing them anyways because of how the Wendy situation played out.
Unless Barefoot has a great relationship with Pat's replacement, don't expect to UT on our schedule again.

No it was not Wendy, it was Pat who kept the game with Old Dominion. She viewed Old Dominion as a Pioneer in women's basketball and said "as long as she was coach she would play them". Her words said on the radio several times with fat ass and to a crowd in Norfolk after a game, when she use to draw fans to sign autographs.
UT does not have room for us anymore any way. The SEC just picked up two more schools, Texas A&M and Mizzou.

Yes Pat said that. Many times. But that was also before the Wendy situation played out. I seriously doubt she have played a team with Wood Selig as AD after what happened with Wendy - one her best friends in the women's BB coaching profession. It was too late to change any signed deals, but as to the future.... We'll never know.
