So, with little information out regarding the progress of the team, I'm bored with nothing new coming out so I'm going to lay my predictions for the season out there.
These predictions are based on the following thoughts:
1. Defense has no where to go but up and our new D coordinator won his only game as a Head Coach and our last D coordinator is gone (another plus)
2. Special teams can't be worse than last year as that's impossible
3. Like all other preseason predictions, my prediction is based on the assumption that all starters are healthy. Having a healthy Fatuniken, Singer, and Molls on defense as well as the addition of Emilien and Haden and also a great coach at D Coordinator (by all accounts from Huskies fans) will really make this a complete and great team.
4. Our offense is going to continue to be awesome. Big loss of Eric Paige will be replaced by big gain of Dwight Macon. We have two of the top 25 most efficient QBs in FBS returning. Our passing game will not miss a beat without Page but our rushing game will suffer a bit. Regardless, our offense will continue to be as AWESOME as it has been in the past.
So here goes. 10-2 going into the MAC Championship game
Arizona - Loss (+21) Arizona always has great athletes and have beat us up recently
Wyoming - Win (-7)
Bowling Green - Win (-17)
Coastal Carolina - Win (-35)
Western Michigan - Win (-3)
Central Michigan - Win (-17)
Eastern Michigan - Win (-14)
Cincinnati - Loss (+7) this is the best team the Rockets will face throughout the year but I think playing at home will allow the Rockets to keep it closer than the Arizona game
Buffalo - Win (-17)
Ball State - Win (-17)
Northern Illinois - Win (-17)
Akron - Win (-28)
