Troy @ UAB
App. St. @ ECU
Marshall @ WVU
UTSA @ S. Alabama
So. Miss @ Nebraska

I was going to tender a prediction on how the conference would fare W-L after week one, but noticed that Tulsa's on your post twice against 2 different teams.

Is the bold who you are predicting to win?
No, just pointing out the difference in competition. That anyone would question the appeal of a CUSA schedule vs. a CAA schedule is beyond me. Aside from 2 or 3 VA schools & Delaware, I could care less about CAA football. Also notice that ~ 50% of those marquee games are at home. I think Oklahoma & even Rutgers would appeal to the casual fan more than Richmond & JMU.

The 2014 slate includes moving a home contest against Old Dominion to Oct. 25, in place of a previously scheduled contest against Georgia Southern.

ps. I didn't want to start a new thread.

It was a foregone conclusion that we'd move the dates of those games with UNC-Charlotte, so that it'd be easier to schedule other teams. The November date in '13 isn't surprising, as most schools are gearing up for postseason and a loss then from a transitional team would hurt them a lot. I'm actually surprised how early the game will be played in '14 though. Wonder who we'll play in November.

This game would be my choice for the Oyster Bowl in 2013.

DBB, I think the proper abbreviation is actually UNC-c. UNC-w seemed to really like it presented that way!

when you are watching ESPN, the score will be ODU 10, Charlotte 14.
When's the last time we scored 10 or less points in a game?

For one, I will be watching live. Secondly, I'd be willing to wager the UNC-c does not hold ODU to 10 points or less in 2013. THink this will be a good rivalry, but not in 2013.

I'd be impressed, never thought our squad would be able to hold an NFL team to two scores.

Texas A&M over La. Tech
UAB over Troy
East Carolina over Appalachian State

I really feel this is a "statement" season for Conference USA. Some of those "statements" will be made in week 1...

I think La Tech has a shot against A&M. Honestly probably a better shot than USM has against Nebraska this year. I think A&M isn't nearly as good as Nebraska, and La Tech returns a lot off of a very solid team from last year.
@b0ndsj0ns: As it relates to Texas A&M & La. Tech. I hope that game is televised in my area, I never got to see them (La. Tech) at all last year, so I had no idea that they had so many top players returning, knowing this now and the fact that they're playing at home has me wondering if this isn't an upset special in the making now. I admit, I predicted that game off of name recognition and the fact that Sumlin is the HC at A&M, if his offense is anything like it was when he was at Houston, this game could become a shootout. I absolutely despise the SEC and hope that my prediction for that game is wrong.
