I'm pleased.

I like it. It doesn't seem all that different from what I remember.

It does look nice (& it's not black!).

Yeah, I'm convinced that they leaked that photo to gauge reaction (which was overwhelmingly negative) prior to making their final selection. I'm happy with how it turned out and glad they used the flag in the end zone. The only change I would make would be to use the "mflag" logo in the center of the field.

Can they play lax in the stadium? If so, do they paint temporary lines or roll up parts of the turf?

When are they going to green turtle uniforms?

I think the field is a classy embrace of MD quirky flag. Now if they would only show similar restrain with their unis...

Yes, the field is designed to work for both football and lax. Not sure how they change out the lines, but that was a consideration in its design.

I think the new field looks good overall. It just bugs me that the state flag doesn't encompass the entire endzone. It looks weird surrounded by the little green strip.

Also whatever happened to the "turtle shell" design that was leaked with the black turf? I liked the concept, but hated the idea of it being black. They could easily use 2 different shades of green to get the "shell pattern" across the field.
