Just saw a tweet by Adam Bodnar stating that Brett Beebe's Mom (Karen) has lost her battle with cancer. Thoughts, prayers and love to Brett and his family.

From how Brett describes Karen. Just had a quick conversation with Brett. We are truly lucky to have a family like the Beebe's representing WMU.

The Bronco hockey family will support Brett. My thoughts and prayers go to him and his family.

That is seriously awesome. Makes me love our Broncos even more.

Haven't met any of these guys but it is great that the team is so connected that they are flying to California for the funeral. Brett is a great guy who is passionate for all WMU teams. Loved his post last year before the NIU game.

sounds like it was a really touching ceremony, according to facebook about 1500 people showed up for the memorial.
