Forget all that off-topic stuff. It's time to talk MAC football! 02-13-banana
Hopefully with ESPN3 on board, they'll have the ability to cut up the interview segments and post them individually for people to watch later, if they can't see it live.
Commish doesn't really think a 8 or 16 team playoff is a good option.

All right everyone get you pitchforks!
17 people voted in the preseason poll. Of them 6 forgot to vote for the MACC winner. I wonder how many credentialed media are at this event.
Toledo and Ohio are favorites to win their divisions. OU will make a big statement after they beat Penn State.

Or Penn State will take out their anger on the Bobkitties.

Seventeen? That is sad and a far cry from my days as MAC News Media Association president. That tells me the conference is not reaching out enough to the media.

Well they have finally gotten off their butts with the Electronic media. Matt Sussman from Hustle Belt was there.

Or media is cutting staffs and coverage.

Yep.

Whatever media is left is probably concentrating on the sports/teams which draw the most fans, etc.

There is plenty of media covering the Tigers, Lions, Wolverines, Spartans, etc but then there is a falloff.
Guys, I'm simply talking about voting in the poll here, not the number of media covering the event today. Seventeen is embarrassing. It takes a concerted effort between the conference and the media association to get the votes. It takes a little effort and cooperation between the two.

whatever! the point is they got it right! COGS
The fact that only 11 filled it out completely is not an encouraging sign either. That kind of a survey isn't statistically valid really. Though a quick check of the interwebs indicates last year there were 18 votes cast.

Yep, it's been going down for awhile. If folks here understood the strides we made with the MNMA, they would understand how disheartening this is.

Anybody really carrying the torch at this point?
Ohio Bobcats are the favorite this fall to win the MAC. Yes, were talking regular season pigskin. Ohio should be the favorite on the hardwood too.
Ohio has an opportunity to be that signature program that the MAC needs by delivering big years in both football and basketball that generate national attention with the media. Coming of a bowl victory and sweetsixteen. The Bobcats are loaded in both football and hoops. MAC has watched the WAC, MWC and CUSA steal the national attention. Its time the MAC gets that spotlight and shows that its on that same level as the MWC like it was in the 1990's. Ohio schedule and circumstances at Penn State perhaps provide an opportunity to have one of those rare unbeaten seasons for a MAC team.

This. His job is to do what's best for the MAC, not to be Delany's sockpuppet.
