Well, she had a helluva ride (sorry). 17 months w/ pancreatic cancer sounds long. Stomach cancer took my best friend in a matter of weeks. Recently lost another friend to esophageal cancer in a matter of months. It's such a horrible thing.

It is awful. Did the friend with esophageal cancer smoke?

Yep. He had quit, but too late. He told me after the fact that he had an uncle die of the same thing.
