Chizik didn't take long to fill the void left by losing Dyer. Somebody has given him the keys to Memphis.

Add Mark Dodson and Brian Kimbrow to the list and the SEC is racking up some major RB talent out of Memphis.
Good for us, we have a coach who actually knows a thing or two about football
I talked with someone close to Jordan today. It came down to Vandy, UTK, and Auburn. From what I was told, it's wasn't a close call.
In 1976, four of MIAA's previous rushing leaders were Tigers and one of them switched to cornerback. Terdell Middleton - Southside, Eddie Hightower - Raleigh Egypt, Mike Bates - Catholic, and Keith Simpson - Hamilton.

Hopefully, Coach Fuente and staff can shift the momentum and keep one or two kids at home.
Maybe it's just me, but I saw the Wilkins kid first hand against CBHS last year and wasn't impressed at all. What I saw that night was a tentative runner who went down way too easily on first contact, didn't run with any power at all (runs too high, bad body lean) and was always looking for a soft spot to fall. In my opinion, he's just another local kid who is way over hyped by the local press. Again in my opinion, the Tigers didn't lose much by this kid signing elsewhere. Good luck to the young man, he's gonna need it in the $ec.
Well, we got Gross! But, not really.

thank god you cleared that up for us. that chizik guy must be a horrible judge of talent.

The local guys aren't the ones who have him ranked as a 4 star. He's a good player, but yes he has a lot to work on as well.

Two words: Fleet Footed
He wasn't Memphis good anyway.

The usual smartass comeback by the king of fishing. And no, I'm sure chizik can evaluate talent, never said he couldn't. I was just giving an honest assessment of what I saw the night he played against CBHS. Dude played soft the entire game. But hey, if it rocks your boat to come back with your usual smartass comments, have at it.
Don't argue with btiger, it's only a matter of time.

LOL! You know nothing about Jordan and obviously know nothing about talent. Ask your own CBHS football coach what he thinks about Jordan. Oh and btw Jordan was very hurt for the CBHS game but played anyway.
James Franklin and Derek Dooley would take him in a heartbeat. My buddy who coaches at USJ played with Billy Wilkins in the same def. backfield at UTM and says his kid is a great athlete.

I hate it when we downplay a great athlete just because we can't take off our reflex blue glasses when they sign elsewhere.
Antonio Webber will make you forget about Jordan Wilkins. And, Roland Genesey would have already made you forget about Jordan if Memphis would have offered.

btw, I like Jordan and his brother.

Why is that necessary for football success?

Damn, didn't mean to get everybodies panties in a wad, just posted what I saw when he played against the Brothers. And wearing reflex blue glasses has nothing to do with it. There are a number of kids who didn't sign with the Tigers who I wished we could have signed, the Wilkins kid is just not one of them. Nothing personal, as some are trying to make it. I'm sure he's a great kid from a good family and I wish him well at Auburn. From the one game I saw him in, I wasn't impressed. I'll be sure to check him out again this year when he lines up against CBHS. Hope this year he isn't hurt, as someone mentioned he was this past season.

Looks like I hit a personal vein with you Princess, not my intent at all. Just posted an honest evaluation of what I saw first hand at last years CBHS/SBA game. I would have posted the same thing even if he had committed to our Tigers. Nothing personal with me. I hope the kid has a great future. Looking forward to seeing him in action again this year when SBA plays CBHS. And yes, I do know the CBHS coach and have talked to him about Jordan a number of other local players in and around the city. That information will stay between him and me and will not be posted on a message board.
